3CUSPID is one of the more purely white noise oriented acts on Israeli modern music scene of sample-based pocket-punk. Combining deft, mid or slow-tempo beats, well-chosen jazz and funk figures, sparse scratching, and even the odd randomized OST-rap, 3CUSPID bridge the gap between dusty B-side street sounds, hip-hop based on dialogs from old movies and Japan's new school of psychotropic beat scientists. Formed by Alex Suris, Jack Friedman and Jos Molchanoff in the early 2000's, 3CUSPID, unlike many of Israel's abstract beat scene's acid house-steeped big-name artists, trace their roots to American jazz and funk (Mingus, Davis, Funkadelic, J. Hendrix, Trible and others).
