The global winner will be awarded with a complete 55DSL Spring/Summer 2009 collection outfit, and an expenses-paid trip to Cut&Paste’s first-ever Global Championship, taking place on June 20 in New York City, where the winner will be officially announced onstage!

55DSL is inviting you to attend an intimate live showcase with rapper/singer Jovanotti at the NY flagship located in Soho on February 17th from 6pm-9pm.

This special event is set to take place in the evening while big brother Diesel's NY fashion show will run earlier on in the day at the Bryant Park tents.

The Jovanotti showcase is a ticket only show... tickets can be collected from the 55DSL store at 281 Lafayette Street, from noon onwards Tuesday 10th Feb.

Tickets are first come first serve with any SS09 purchase.

Jovanotti whose latest album SAFARI went straight into the Italian charts at number one is performing a sell out show at NY's Highline Ballroom on the 18th February. Jovanotti (friends with U2's Bono) has recorded collaborations with Michael Franti, Ben Harper, Carlinhos Brown, Sergio Mendes, and Bono, among other well-known names and is sure to draw an eclectic crowd at this secret showcase which will be filmed and televised at a later date.

Last October, 55DSL challenged designers and devotees to reinterpret and "remix" the iconic 55DSL shield logo. After 3 months and over 1000 entries later, 55DSL's Creative Director Andrea Rosso and an esteemed panel of judges selected Jake Hollomon's logo entitled "Cash in Hand." His winning design will be featured in 55DSL's 2010 Spring/Summer 10.55 Limited Edition Tshirt Collection and will recieve a cash prize of of 1,055 € (about $1,321)!
