Acidradio started as a project band early 1995 in Tacloban city, Leyte. Initiated by Chip Canonigo during high school days and had Domz Anacion, Leander Lim, Jeff Cloa as its original lineup. The project band subsided because of inconsistent support of its members due to personal plans, and its started going their own ways. In 2003, Chip relocated to Manila, took Kym Lacambra with him and revived the band in the big city. Restarted as a three-piece band, with bassist Rakissa, then after, the late Shepard Tabios. Before Shepard’s death, original member, Domz relocated to Manila in 2004 for work and later on replaced the former as bassist. Only after a few gigs, personal differences between Chip and Kym led to the hiatus of the band. It was only in early 2007, the band reconciled and re-emerged with new plans, new songs and a new guitarist Kino Lacambra, Kym’s younger brother. The new line-up of Acidradio started to perform again more often than before. They recorded some of their original songs for plans of an upcoming album that may be released independently. The new Acidradio is stronger, fresher and better than ever.
