Santa Clara University's Arab Cultural Society was created by Vivian Khoury [Class of 2003] and became an official SCU club in the Fall of 2002. ACS became the ninth resident club in the Multicultural Center in January 2004. The Arab Cultural Society is a cultural organization dedicated to promoting the Arabic heritage and culture. We seek to increase the general public awareness of Arabs and to enhance a better understanding of the Arabic culture and ethnicity. ACS hopes to counter negative stereotypes and to erase misconceptions about the Arab people by displaying our past and present contributions to humanity. ACS acts as a venue where Arabs can join together and represent their ethnicity without confusion or fear. Finally, ACS aims to create a sense of community among Arab-American students at Santa Clara University and beyond. We welcome people of all backgrounds to participate in our wonderful club. Ehlan wah sehlan!
