On August 25th, the voices of the indie music scene will unite under one banner to raise awareness about the importance of musical education for all children in New York City.
They have interviewed everyone from Bjork to The Beastie Boys. They have taken on issues ranging from gay rights to social injustice to exactly why people keep buying Ashlee Simpson albums. They are the ones on the front lines, crushed into the barrier, braving bad music; earsplitting acoustics and drunken mobs, all to bring you a daily look at the New York music world.
If you’ve ever asked yourself who bloggers are and why they are continuously noted as passionate experts in the independent music scene, here’s your chance to find out. After the Jump is the first festival of its kind to bring together two dozen of New York City’s premiere music bloggers in a celebration of the music that drives them and the causes they believe in.
