Status. Talent. Fame. Fortune. What more can recording artists bring to the table? One artist only wants to bring himself. That someone is A.J. Crew.

"Personally, I don't think I would ever be able to hold a regular 'nine-to-five'. My mind has always been set to music", says Crew. This trait definitely shows, as Crew is not only a songwriter/artist, but also hones in on his production skills with Jeff Potter to produce the majority of his upcoming project, "Nightmares and Daydreams".

Even with the future looking bright for Crew, adversity struck recently when he realized his family's financial troubles would possibly prevent him from continuing his post-secondary education. "I'm a student at Columbia College Chicago and tuition is super expensive there. At least for me. And it's killing my financial situation and it's a struggle that I'm trying to overcome. Hopefully I can catch a break soon so that I can focus on being an artist that changes the face of music."

But that bright future we mentioned earlier is still looking better than ever, as Crew is set to drop "Nightmares and Daydreams" on September 1st. and "TxtMsgAlrt!" now available on iTunes. Crew ends by saying, "I hope to bring me. I know I have something to bring to the table. I'm not gonna say some cliche garbage about 'I'mma bring new creative blah blah blah...' No. I'm bringing myself to the scene. Period."
