Without a doubt one can perceive in Alexander Acha the family heritage from his father Emmanuel, who is perhaps the biggest icon of Spanish POP that has emerged from the Latin world. Alexander Acha’s involvement with music started when he was born, having his father as his teacher and mentor. Thanks to this privilege, Alexander has achieved an artistic development at such young age, and that is leading him to be an international popular idol.
He started his studies when he was five, at Instituto Artene, A.C. under the tutoring of Professor Genoveva Tort. After studying for two years at this institute, he enters the CIEM (Research and Musical Studies Center), where he studies piano and composition until 1995.
In 1996, at 11 years old, he continues his studies through intensive music and piano courses in the Summer Piano Institute in Kansas. His childhood and adolescence where absorbed by his musical studies in order to improve his performance, harmony and composition in the piano. He studied with well known teachers such as Mauricio Nader, Tonatiuh de la Sierra and Jorge Ritter.
In July 2001 he travelled to Holland to study in the Berger Music Institute, and following this, he joins the Fermatta Music Academy. In 2003, Alexander masters his composition and arranging skills at Berklee College of Music, in Boston Massachusetts.
From a very young age Alexander Acha has performed many piano concerts and recitals in places such as Sala Chopin, Sala Wagner, the Metropolitan English School, Sivam, Papalote Children’s Museum, and he has recently performed with Emmanuel in his Retro tour 07/08 presenting his first single “Te Amo” in big stages such as Auditorio Nacional, Arena Monterrey, Auditorio Telmex, and the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, California among others.
It is worth mentioning his philanthropic side. He has organized events for Fundacion Telmex in the 2nd Entrepreneurs and Intellectuals Gathering to aid children and Mayan indigenous people with cancer. He also has helped the Centro de Integración para Adictos y Familiares and the 6th anniversary of Diana Laura Colosio in the open forum in Plaza Loreto. Alexader inherited the talent, but his preparation and studies dictate his quality.
At the end of 2007 he flew to Riolo Terme in Italy where Le Dune Studios is located to start with the production of “Voy” under the direction of Loris Ceroni. Loris’ and Alexander’s tastes matched and they worked non-stop for over a month to find the final sound of what they really wanted. An acoustic sound, with power and life, with some reminiscences of the 80’s that now, circumstantially, are welcomed again.
The Philharmonic Orchestra of Maderna Forli was hired to record the strings of this production. In the style of Cinema Paradiso, they had to rent the Riolo Terme movie theater to be able to record the orchestra which is a fundamental part of the work of Loris Ceroni
13 tracks and 2 more that are exclusive for digital are included in this production. It presents a very romantic and powerful Alexander Acha. His extraordinary voice, clear and bright, will make any woman that listens to these songs, understand the true meaning of the word “love”.
Songs such as “Te Amo” (first single), “Niña y Mujer”, “Esa Niña”, and “Con un Beso” are ballads that will take one’s breathe away. On the other hand, “Voy”, “Mujeres”, “Soy un Huracán”, “Uno pa’l otro”, “Ay ay ay”, “Sigo Adelante”, and “Cuando me Miras”, give us a taste of the rhythms through which Alexander Acha can take us.
“Voy” is, without a doubt, an album that will take Alexander Acha to an important place in music.
