Hisoka uses poker cards as his weapon.He is not only able to produce these cards out of now where but also uses his Nen to make his cards as sharp as a sword.Although to many it may be just poker cards,but in his hands,they are a lethal weapon which he throws them with deadly accuracy, and if you're his target, there is no escape.

Hisoka's past is a mystery because Hisoka doesn't say anything.He doesn't talk about his past because his past doesn't really interest him.
Fighting:
No one was able to defeat him so far.Hisoka is believed to be one of the strongest in the world.Even the Hunter Exam judges noticed his superior nen and Satotsu-san actually said that Hisoka was on the same level as them but just like to dwell on the dark side.No one was able to defeat him so far because in terms of physcial strength,his aura strength,his battle experience,his mental ability,it far surpress many.He also have many tricks up his sleeve.
Also,no one can predict his next move.His reactions can be really be a great surprise sometimes.For example, in his match against Kurapica,the latter was able to give Hisoka a painful blow that made our joker almost lose his cool and get really angry.However,instead of cutting Kurapica's throat, Hisoka surprised everyone with an indifferent smile and declared that he gives up.
Hisoka's Nen Abilities
The Pansy Gum/Extensible mixtuLove(Bungee Gum)
This is an ability that allows Hisoka to transform his aura to a very extensible and compressible mixture of elastic and gum which he fixes at a precise point and detach it whenever he wants.Hisoka can also extend it and contract it as he wishes.The gum can be sticky or smooth, and its properties change according to his will.It is believed that he borrowed its name from a brand of chewing-gum that he was fond of when he was a kid.
Deceitful Texture/Subtle Lie (Dokkiri Texture)
Basically it is a nen ability that allows hisoka to materializes anything from his thoughts alone.He projects it on any surface and it can become anything such that it have any texture he desires for example a projection of a texture, picture, etc.However,upon contact,you will understand it's a fake,so until then it is impossible to tell it from reality.There is no limit to what Hisoka can put as a texture, he can copy textures by touching them,from something as complex as writing of any particular handwriting with a different message to something like skin,for example if he ties a piece of cloth around his arm and applys this ability,it will look is impossible to tell from the real thing without touching.It is also believed that like Pansy Gum,Hisoka chose the name of a famous brand of candy a containing a surprise that was already known.
One of the essential points of the nen technique of Hisoka is his Zetsu.While using it,his very strong aura is almost imperceptible. But there is a flaw!If somebody who's learned Ren with the same basics, could use his ren in the sight, and would have a great chance of beating him. Of course the concentration should be at max to be the most efficient.
Hisoka also wins using his 'physcialogical hit' which aims to make his opponent lose his cool and confuse him, sometimes driving him insane.He uses his nen to fake/mask his injuries, and also uses magic tricks.
Personality:
Hisoka is a magician, a trickster, and a clown.Despite his sometimes bizarre way of dressing and how evevyone thought of Hisoka as a blood-thirsty manic at first(he usually have an evil grin on his face and kills without batting an eyelid).He is not to be taken lightly.His sometimes psychotic behavior is a front for a brilliant mind and great analytical abilities.He only follows his own wishes and his mind is unstable sometimes(which sometimes makes him seem erratic and volatile),Hisoka can actually control himself quite well when he sees the need for it.So,his unusal personality is not as shallow as people might mistaken it to be.
As said, Hisoka only follows his own wishes and does not submit to advice or do anything he doesn't want to do.He is independent even in a group or working with a partner like Illumi.Other people to Hisoka exist only when he is interested in them, and when they have grown boring he forgets them, like the case of Kastro.
However,sometimes Hisoka can really be very nice.On GI, when Biske asked him to join her team in the dodge-ball match, he agreed instantly and helped Killua and Gon to win the match.
What so cool about him is that always wears a smile on his face,not giving a damn about anything.Nothing worries him, nothing can disturb him for more than 5 seconds.
During duels, he likes to show off and act arrogantly because he believes he is the winner eventually, no matter how strong his opponent is. However, he can sometime let his craziness take unexpected proportions.However,i believe he has his own logical way of thinking and behaving that normal people can never understand.
Hisoka's main goal in life is to seek for potential and strong fighters.Besides this urge to fight strong people to prove that he is the best,nothing exists.If you are not strong enough to face him, then you don't deserve to live.
That is the main reason he is so keen to fighting with Kuroro (which is in his opinion the most powerful opponent that he must defeat to be the strongest man in the world) Hisoka would do anything to have a chance to face him in a duel. In the first OVA, he faked the prediction Kuroro made for him. He did all this just to make the Ryodan stay in York Shin… just to fight with Kuroro. According to the author, Hisoka is: 'someone… tenacious'. In GI OVA, Hisoka was looking for a nen remover to help Kuroro get his powers back, just to get his chance to fight with him. Till now, this duel has never taken place, but Hisoka will never give up till he gets what he wants. The author says about him : 'Hisoka has no master other than himself, because he's understood that he's the strongest'.
Talents
He has great accuracy with cards? And of course, Hisoka is a top notch fighter. His speed is quite amazing.
Besides that, he's good at building card pyramids..^_^;
Hisoka is also incredibly smart, and quick on his feet. He relies on complicated strategies, trickery, and psychological manipulation to win his fights. Although his abilities seem simple, he uses them to the best advantage because he thinks through his fights in a matter of seconds. Something he seems very good at is making up writing with his deceitful texture. In a matter of minutes, he composed a poem to use to hide the poem-prediction he got from Kuroro (in York Shin). To do this so well that no one noticed, in such a short amount of time, is amazing.
I like Hisoka because he is a really amazing character.He only follows what he wants to do, and his wishes are constantly changing. He's the perfect definition of a Enka (transformation) user: capricious and a liar. But then he invented that method of finding out someone's hatsu, so most likely he based the personality type for transformation on himself.
