Muse Art Gallery is pleased to welcome the outstanding display of original artworks designed specifically for the show 'Wicked of the West', artists include: Robin Grass, Amandalynn, Reyes, Norm, Margaretta Jo, Holly Ellis, Megan Shaffer, Fate, Yutaro Sakai, Phil Holt, Pete the Painter, Prairie Prince, and Lucien Shapiro

Originally starting as an art show displaying exclusively the works of Amandalynn and Robin Grass, this art show depicts characters and creatures inspired by Gregory Maguire's novel, 'Wicked'. His writings tell the Wicked Witch of the West's side of the story of her time in Oz. Amandalynn and Robin teamed up with this theme in mind and did the 'Wicked' show in Pennsylvania in the Fall of 2007. The show was a huge success and the team decided to move the remaining body of work as well as some new pieces, out to the west coast for display. Amandalynn has decided to expand the show by adding new artists with an array of different talents, ranging from: metal sculpture, fashion design, computer animation, wood carving, tattooing, traditional portrait painting, graffiti, and fantasy based sculpture.

Robin Grass is a renowned painter from Pennsylvania and was Amandalynn's mentor and art teacher throughout her childhood and teens. Robin is an incredible fantasy artist and is responsible for inspiring generations of students in his surrounding area. He also has instructed and inspired several of the artists that will be participating in this new version of 'Wicked'.

Amandalynn is a fine artist, who works as a motorcycle and sculpture painter and restorer by day, and who also paints her figures alongside large graffiti productions. Amandalynn is most recognized for her long eared green ladies that pop up on doorways, murals and graffiti productions. She also has curated and participated in many large scale art shows here in San Francisco as well as across the globe. It is a great honor for her to show alongside her mentor, Robin Grass, as well as the other artists whom have all inspired and supported her throughout the years.

Reyes was born in the Midwest, he fled during the post information revolution for the sanctuary of the west coast, it was there (California) that he grew to adult hood. In his spare time he fights his own feeling of mediocrity by creating a visual world that forgives all.

Lucien Shapiro graduated with a BFA in sculpture from the Academy of Art College in 2003. Since graduation he has shown in S.F., Oakland, Boston, Thaiwan, NY, Portland, London, Berlin, LA, and Montreal. His work consists of a collage of found objects and hand sculpted pieces that bring out a whimsical fantasy to dance upon the landscape of the non dreamers.

This group of 'Wicked' artists have been recognized as a 'top notch'
group, always showing the freshest and newest work, with an extra twist of imagination. This is definitely a show worth seeing.
