It started out all fine and well,
This descent into hell.
This miserable life of a girl named Michelle.
Her mother was a confidant,
Her friends seemed to care,
But this was two years ago,
And change was in the air.
It seemed she’d lost her mom,
When a boyfriend entered her mothers’ life.
And what was going on,
Would lead only to more strife.
She couldn’t confide in her friends it seemed,
For they didn’t listen for long.
Finally she simply deemed,
That all the good was going wrong.
Wrong enough all that could be done,
Was add more wrong now we’ve begun.
To add to all the things above,
Another problem, relating to love.
It would seem a breach of morality,
To reveal her sexuality.
She knew they wouldn’t understand,
She was trapped inside herself.
A bird fed by an unkind hand,
Trapped in a cage upon a shelf.
Nearly fifteen,
As it would seem,
She held a normal curse, this feeling of discomfort,
It continued to get worse.
Each time she’d think of suicide,
Was a time that she said no.
But as the time went by and by,
Her resolve began to go.
It was on her fifteenth birthday,
She could take no more,
The cutting didn’t help enough,
This day opened a door.
Suddenly all resolve faded, leaving her behind,
Her soul was soon to follow,
The planets had aligned.
This was the end to her story,
A life was lost that day.
Hers a short foray,
Into life’s fray.

See that girl,
Watch her smile,
Only happens once in a while.
Or maybe it happens all the time,
But those smiles aren’t real,
She isn’t fine.
That’s the girl with the broken smile,
That’s the one you thought was ok.
She walks about,
Could walk a mile,
Even though she doesn’t know the way.
She’s lost and alone,
Doesn’t know where to go.
Can’t find her way home,
She’s just got to roam.
She can’t see her worth,
She’s begging for help,
Her falsified mirth,
Isn’t good for her health.
She’s calling to you,
Yet you won’t listen.
She’s yelling for you,
As the blade seems to glisten.
It’s sharp and ready,
Her hand is unsteady.
It shakes alone for you,
Come save her if you can,
There’s something you can do,
Offer her a hand.
She’s close, she’s too close,
She’s there, so we think.
And yet something saves her,
Something keeps her from the edge,
Something you gave her,
Ends the pledge,
Of a life to the devil,
Of a life to death.
Her pain is still there,
She still feels alone,
But healing is in the air,
As you take her home.

Michelle, Michelle, another heartbreak,
Love’s always a mistake,
What is it with you?
What can you do?
Why won’t they love you?
Why must boys be boys?
Treating girls like toys.
Each time a new one comes along,
He cheats he lies, like a bad love song.
Isn’t there anything you can do?
Won’t they love you?
When the right one is there,
It seems you’re in love.
You laugh and you stare,
You kiss and you hug.
Then Michelle, poor Michelle,
He breaks your heart.
It’s the same hell, the same hell,
Should have known from the start.
He wanted her,
Wanted you,
He wanted you both.
You found out, you knew,
You lost all hope.
Poor dear, poor thing,
It all happens to you,
Broken heart, broken wings,
What’s a girl to do?
A friend of mine wrote these for me.Basically tells the story of my life.Wanna still know more?Simple, just ask.
