A hip-hop trio from Hachioji, Japan, the Funky Monkey Babys (Funky Kato, Monn-Kichi, and DJ Chemical) formed in 2004 and were signed by the Dreamusic label. Their first single, "Sono Manma Higashi He," came out in January of 2005, and their debut album, Funky Monkey Babys, followed the following year. In late December of 2007, the group released their second album, Funky Monkey Babys, Vol. 2, which was a top ten hit in Japan. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
