I love this song so much! The first time I heard it was in the movie Donnie Darko which
is my all time favorite movie.

The beat makes it lighter...not as sad.

Truly one of the top 10 best songs ever written. I like both versions, depending on my mood. If I want a more Daughtry style, I take the drums. If I want the mellow R.E.M. style, I go without the drums. Regardless, the song goes to my core every time.

I think is better with the drums. It makes it slightly more interesting. (Man, this makes me think of Cowboy Bebop. XD)
