If someone dies and they are unbelieveably gifted as Minnie Riperton was, and their music is virtually non-exsistent on popular or oldies radio stations..I would speculate that someone tried as hard as they could to silence her..and has almost succeded. If no one bothers to educate their children about the phenomenon that was Mrs. Riperton's voice, it will truly be sad to say that whoever wrote those words to the right is correct.

Unsung made me search deeper ino her collection as well wow its amazing

i completely disagree with the bio that was written to the right. The writer should have chosen their words better. Minnie Riperton's death did not silence anything. As one can see her music lives on as we listen to it and as it touches us all. Does any great musician ever become silenced because they are dead? What kind of nonsensical writing is that? "Silenced"? Come on now, get over yourself, and choose your words correctly. I'm hearing the music right now and it is far from "silenced".

Thank God for "Unsung" !!! I'm glad to know that there are others who are now discovering or re-discovering Minnie Riperton !!! I remember growing up listening to her music and when she passed away I was 18 yrs. old !!! I consider myself to now be re-discovering her music !!! No one could sing like her !!!

i knew Minnie Riperton could sing and hit very (HIGH NOTES) but all that i ever knew of her was lovin you. that was until i watch unsung last night now i know who she is what she stood for and have a great feel of who she was as a person
