This Austrian composer and child prodigy was a major figure in the classical period who wrote in most musical forms of the time, especially opera, symphony, concertos, and chamber music; his notable works are too numerous to mention. Mozart had a great and lively mind, which he engaged in such experiments as deciding progressions by playing dice and billiards, placing players in adjacent rooms echoing each other (Notturno for Four Orchestras, K. 269), and the encoding of Masonic rituals in The Magic Flute. Mozart was capable of the most earthshaking and profound works (Requiem, K. 626, written as he lay on his deathbed), the sweetest of arias in his many operas, and the most beautiful of melodic invention and variation (the piano concertos, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, and much more). His feeling for the balance of lines that have separate functions (melody, accompaniment, sostenuto, and melisma) is revealed in the quintets, the Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat, and the string quartets. Many structures in his symphonies are copies of innovations by Haydn, in some ways more conservative, but their drive, surprising modulations, and memorable melodies are purely Mozart. ~ Blue Gene Tyranny, All Music GuideMore

So why is it here?

Songs can be named the same thing, you know. And I guess a lot of classical songs were named the same thing. Same thing happens with painting. So your proof shows Pachelbel's Canon D is... well, his! It doesn't show that Mozart took is or vice versa. Did'jo know that?

Nutty Buddy, you can just go and eat your fark-quet face! Therese no such thing as good music or bad because HELL-URR, its an opinionated thing! So what if the music charts have this certain song that's #1. That song can be number eww in some people's minds. That's why we have different genres!Because they all have this style! And hell-urr, music started out from classical. IF you lived in the older days, you'd listen to it too. The music you listen to just has a different instruments & it has words! So, you can't say "This isn't music" because music varies. Duhh...

"Nutty Buddy" Music is defined as the art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. So you are not going to like all music and I respect your opinion but as for the correction of your comment itself It is wrong because it is "Music" because you used the context "isn't." So next time don't say things like that......It is ignorant.

What an idiotic, ignorant comment "Nutty Buddy" made below. Why come in here a put down a comment if you do not like it. And also, insult Mozart's music all you want but at least he has been famous for centuries. You will never be known by anybody. If this "isn't music", then all the "music" written today is garbage. Mozart was a genius!
