Hailing from the Bay Area, California where artists like E-40, San Quinn, and Mac Dre reign supreme, BeatStreetS is one of the youngest most prolific producers in the Hip Hop community. From his melodic Jazz melody’s like Duke Ellington to his complex rhythmic grooves of Funk like George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, from his hard hitting riffs of Rock like Black Sabbath to his sense of Pop appeal like Michael Jackson, from his smooth sounds of Soul like Frankie Beverly and Maze to his awareness of composition like Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder, BeatStreetS fuses an astonishing number of musical bases while maintaining simplicity in his productions.
After several years of classical jazz training and playing alongside profound musicians such as Thomas Pridgen, Pharoah Sanders, and the late Edward Kelley starting in 1996, BeatStreetS was formed in 2005. From 2005-2006, BeatStreetS tailored his sound until it was undeniable to his ears that the music he was making incorporated everything he had learned from his Jazz training, the choices of music his parents put forth in front of him, that the music was innovative, that it was inspiring, and most of all, original.
BeatStreetS offers a totally different sound to the music industry with his expansive musical knowledge, backed by technical jazz training. He’s what you would call a “Taste-Maker”, who’s still pretty new to the game, but with his fusion of pretty much every style of music, BeatStreetS is the Bay Area's next generation of musical genius.
