OUR STORY:

Founded on the theory that "if you can't find it, make it", Beautiful/Decay began as a small black & white zine started by Amir H. Fallah and high school friend Jay Littleton in the quiet suburbs of Fairfax Virginia in 1996. Taking the name from a quote by artist Barry Mcgee (Twist) in graffiti zine 12oz. Prophet, Beautiful/Decay; described everything Amir loved about emerging art and underground culture. Since then, Amir and his partners, Ben Osher and Fubz, have taken the publication from a black & white zine with a 3000 copy circulation to a full color glossy publication with an international distribution of more than 40,000 copies. The bi-coastal publication has branched out to create Beautiful/Decay branded books, curate art shows, develop event sponsorship programs, as well as launch a highly sought after artists series apparel line and various limited edition products.

Serving as a trendsetting resource for curators, Creative Directors, collectors, and the like, Beautiful/Decay delivers the best in emerging art, design, music, and fashion to its readers.
