At 23, BIG Fella was born and raised in Southeast DC and attended school in Northern VA & played football in high school at TC Williams (2001-03). BIG Fella also attended a HBCU in Charlotte, NC at JCSU where he received his Bachelors Degree in Business Management. His characteristics are known for being laid back, chilled, mellow & down to earth. He began rapping in late 2003 with friends he grew up with. “Well we all were rapping for fun just to get a laugh out it”, said the self-proclaimed “Walkin SIM Card”. BIG Fella really didn’t take music seriously until about late 2004, in his freshman year in college. That’s when he started meeting people from the DC, MD, & Northern Va. area. It was one night when everyone from the area was just in a big cipher freestyling & he sat back and listened, & was like “some of these dudes can spit for real”. So the rapper started networking with other people from the area and they began to do mixtapes for their city (DMV). They got tired of doing mixtapes and began to work on an album and start a rap group. They made the group with several of local artists & named the group, the METRO CARTEL, ever since then the talented group has been working together on a variety of projects amongst themselves & other local artists as well. As far as the group goes now, some have branched off and start working on solo material. They’re still a group, but if one of them gets signed first, then that’s even better! Right now BIG Fella is working on starting his own record label, called A.B.C. Ent. (ALL BOUT CAPITAL ENTERTAINMENT) . “To be honest, I want it to be an in house label to start off with then I want to expand to different various artists locally and globally” said BIG Fella. Some of his artists are Young Ridge, Mike The Incredible, & Young Tap. The video department of A.B.C. Ent. will be represented & held by A.P. from BLESSED PRODUCTIONS. Then BIG Fella will plan to have a GOGO band called PAID IN FULL BAND for the go-go department of A.B.C. Ent. handled by Lo from Metro Cartel. His first artist Young Ridge will have his own label called Money Affiliated which consists of himself. But now as we speak, BIG Fella has been working on mixtape tracks and a little bit of album material. His first mixtape, “If U Don’t Like Dis,U HATIN!!!”, he says,"it didn’t really sound bad as far as lyrics but the quality wasn’t good AT ALL" (laughs). BIG Fella stated the reason why he named his first mixtape “If U Don’t Like Dis,U HATIN!!!”,his reason was that he know he’s a talented rapper and sometimes artists get that one audience member who just down your material/craft or gives negative feedback w/o the positive. BIG Fella believes if you have nothing positive to say or any good criticism about his work then you’re HATING! He also stated he can think of a song without writing it, stay on topic, & put it on wax. He thinks of it as “CRITICAL SPITTIN”, from the concept Critical Thinking. BIG Fella doesn’t write his lyrics anymore & is getting more comfortable with his craft of just leaving it all in memory. BIG Fella loves listening to music, making it and wants to get better at it. BIG Fella put a lot of hard work and dedication into his mixtapes, and now he’s about to start working on his album, “FELLA'SHIP”.
