Attitude is Everything

It's not what happens that matter most, it's how I react to what happens to me.
Your living is not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life;
not so much by what happens to you as by what your mind looks at what happens.
Circumstance and situations do color life but you have been given the mind to
choose what the color will be... -John Homer Miller
Attitude is a matter of DECIDING whether the cup is half-full or half-empty.
Too often we look at life...seeing only what we don't have rather than being
thankful what is ours... -Leslie Turvey
If a man has not discovered something that he would die for,
he isn't fit to live. - Martin Luther King
A change of perspective will change our attitude.
We should look beyond the dark clouds to have a glimpse of the silver lining.
We have heard someone say, “I complained I had no shoes until I saw someone with no feet.
” Gratefulness for what we have will develop contentment. When we believe that whatever circumstance we're in,
will lead to something good, having in mind that God is just molding our character...
only then that grumbling will not even be part of our vocabulary. Briefly, let's not loose our JOY. Avoid negative thoughts.
Think positive!

To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE
This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you.
I do NOT need your help. So, have a nice day.
I love you.
P.S. And, remember...
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle,
do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD
(something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All
situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by
worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are
present in your life now.
If you find yourself stuck in traffic, don't despair. There are
people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work; think of the man who has been out
of work for years.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; think of the person
who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; think of the woman
in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed
her children.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance;
think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; think of the cancer
patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about,
asking what is my purpose?
Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the
opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness,
ignorance, smallness or insecurities; remember, things could be
worse. You could be one of them!
Should you decide to send this to a friend... Thank you. You may have
touched their life in ways you will never know!
Now, you have a nice day.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for the gift of life, and for the blessing to be among those who know that You are the Son of God, my Savior and Redeemer of my soul.
Thank you for the Gift of sight that let me see the wondrous things You made and for my soul help me see beyond my sight,
Thank you for all things and especially my heart in which you placed magnetic seeds of grace that draw me forever to your love.
I know you hold me forever in the palm of your hand and sheild me with Your Holy Face. Yet as the years go by, Lord, I fear the yoke of sickness and pain and worry how my life will end.
And so I humbly come to ask You, Lord, that when my time comes to leave here below, do not call me by sudden death, not by accident that tears the body apart, not by illness that leaves the mind confused or the senses impaired; not at the mercy of evil forces; not with a heart filled with hate or a body racked with pain; not abandoned, lonely, without care, not by my own hand in a moment of despair.
Jesus, let death come as a gentle friend to sit and linger with me until You call my name.
Then let me enter Your Heavenly Home to receive Your final gift of grace to be near you forever and look upon the divine countenance of Your Holy Face.
Amen.
Man is nothing...

Until man realizes that "apart from God, man is nothing"...he will seek his success or happiness in wrong places. Man by nature is proud and self-centered. Man has the tendency to focus on this temporal life and forgets where he came from. Man forgets who God is and tend to "idolize" things and men of this world. He forgets to give credits where credit is due. All glory and honor comes from God, and He alone has provided everything (talent, time and treasures), but man tends to account it to himself or even worse, to another created being. Moreso, man doesn't see the danger that lies beyond a life not acknowledging His creator and His provisions...if he's too analytical, he'll miss the miracle...being too skeptical kills the fun and blessings...but being open minded open doors to a joyful life...I believe humbling oneself and acknowledging your Creator is the beginning of wisdom...the first step to a spiritual journey...a holy transformation...a treasure where moths and rust can't destroy...
"with God, through His Son Jesus, you've got everything...most importantly, the ETERNAL life.
"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom"...Proverbs 11:2
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" ...James 4:6
Is Smoking a Sin?

A young man asking this simple question: "Pastor, is smoking a sin?" Well son, it is really up to your own conviction. I presume you know that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit...and besides, in the final judgement of your life, you definitely have only 2 options of destination. Either SMOKING AREA ....OR NON-SMOKING AREA...That's up to you...

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God---this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is---his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
John 3:16

GOD IS SO GOOD,
This is so beautiful!
John 3:16
A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner,
the people were in and out of the cold.
The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell
many papers.
He walked up to a policeman and said,
"Mister,
you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could
find a warm place to sleep tonight would you ?
You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and
down the alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight.
Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay."
The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "You
go down the street to that big white house and you knock
on the door. When they come out the door you just say
John 3:16, and they will let you in."
So he did. He walked up the steps and knocked on the
door, and a lady answered. He looked up and said,
"John 3:16." The lady said, "Come on in, Son."
She took him in and she sat him down in a split bottom
rocker in front of a great big old fireplace, and she went
off. The boy sat there for a while and thought to himself:
John 3:16 ...I don't understand it, but it sure makes
a cold boy warm.
Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry ? "
He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't eaten in a couple of
days, and I guess I could stand a little bit of food,"
The lady took him in the kitchen and sat him down to a table
full of wonderful food. He ate and ate until he couldn't eat
any more. Then he thought to himself:
John 3:16 ...Boy, I sure don't understand it but it sure
makes a hungry boy full.
She took him upstairs to a bathroom to a huge bathtub
filled with warm water, and he sat there and soaked for a
while. As he soaked, he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...
I sure don't understand it, but it sure makes a dirty boy
clean. You know, I've not had a bath, a real bath, in my
whole life. The only bath I ever had was when I stood in
front of that big old fire hydrant as they flushed it out.
The lady came in and got him. She took him to a room,
tucked him into a big old feather bed, pulled the covers
up around his neck, kissed him goodnight and turned out
the lights. As he lay in the darkness and looked out the
window at the snow coming down on that cold night,
he thought to himself: John 3:16 ...I don't understand it but
it sure makes a tired boy rested.
The next morning the lady came back up and took him
down again to that same big table full of food. After he
ate, she took him back to that same big old split bottom
rocker in front of the fireplace and
picked up a big old Bible.
She sat down in front of him and looked into his young face.
"Do you understand John 3:16 ?" she asked gently. He
replied, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The first time I ever heard it
was last night when the policeman told me to use it,"
She opened the Bible to John 3:16 and began to explain
to him about Jesus . Right there, in front of that big old fireplace,
he gave his heart and life to Jesus. He sat there
and thought: John 3:16 -- don't understand it, but it sure
makes a lost boy feel safe.
You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either,
how God was willing to send His Son to die for me, and how
Jesus would agree to do such a thing. I don't understand
the agony of the Father and every angel in heaven as
they watched Jesus suffer and die. I don't understand the intense
love for ME that kept Jesus on the cross till the end.
I don't understand it, but it sure does make life worth living.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow the directions .
Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed
of you before my Father." Pass this on only if you mean it.
I do Love God. He is my source of existence.. He keeps
me functioning each and every day. Phil 4:13 If you love
God and are not ashamed of all the marvelous things he
has done for you, send this on.
Take 60 seconds & give this a shot !
Let's just see if Satan stops this one.
All you do is:
1) Simply say a small prayer for the person who sent you this,
"Father, God bless this person in whatever it is that You know
he may be needing this day ! "
2) Then send it on to ten other people.
Within hours ten people have prayed for you,
and you caused a multitude of people to pray to God for
other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God
work in your life for doing the thing that you know He loves.
The love of Jesus Christ & the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
God bless & enjoy the day .
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.
If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.
If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.
If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.
If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.
If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.
If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.
You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.
This cannot be kept. If it stops with you, then the blessing will disappear. The blessing will only keep working if it is continuously passed around. If you are a recipient of a blessing, keep the blessing working by being the source of blessing to other people.
The Greatest Thing

"Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But
the greatest of these is love." (I Corinthians
13:13)
Spiritual maturity isn't measured by how long you've
been a Christian, or how much you know, or how often
you go to church. Spiritual maturity is measured by
the way you treat other people. It's measured by the
love you allow to operate in you. Corinthians tells
us that one characteristic of love is that it is not
rude. That means, when we are walking in love, we
treat other people with courtesy and respect. Are
you courteous to other people? Are you kind to the
person at the check-out counter that may be moving
too slowly for you? Are you gentle when you are
driving down the highway and someone cuts you off?
Are you patient with your family and coworkers?
These are all characteristics of love. The Bible
tells us that love is patient. It is kind. It does
not envy; it is not proud. It is not rude. Love is
not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrong.
Love never fails. Notice that these characteristics
don't have anything to do with
feelings. Love is a choice. You can choose to walk
in love toward people even when you don't feel like
it! Make the choice to do what is right. Choose
today to show kindness and be courteous to others.
Look for ways to cultivate the greatest thing in
your life - love! As you do, you'll move forward
into the life of blessing God has in store for you!
Prayer:
"Heavenly Father, thank You for working in my life.
Thank You for loving me so that I can show love to
those around me. Keep me close to You, and help me
be an instrument of love to those around me. In
Jesus' Name. Amen."
"For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only
begotten SON (Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in
HIM shall not perish but have eternal life." (John
3:16)
5 Languages of Love

Have you read the book 5 Languages of Love by Gary Chapman? Very very very interesting, enlightening and encouraging. In his book, it says that people speak 5 primary love languages. Both secular and religious sector agree that love plays a central role in life. Jesus Christ taught 2 basic commandments, "love God above all else" and "love your neighbor as yourself". In the final analysis of life, only three will remain: faith, hope and love...but the greatest is love.
It feels good to express love... and be loved. Each of us has his/her own emotional "love tank" waiting to be filled. We all express it in so many different ways, but apparently, it may not be the love language that fills the "love tank" of our receipient. Moreso, you may have been sending the wrong love language to your love one. From the experiences shared in this book, one language that makes a particular person feel love emotionally may not work for the other person. It would greatly help if you discover your own primary "love language" and your love ones' as well.
Basically, here are the 5 languages of love:
1. words of affirmation
2. quality time
3. receiving gifts
4. acts of service
5. physical touch
Which one of these is your primary love language- one that you would like to receive from your love one? Now, before you answer this question, you might want to take a quiz first to test yourself. If you're interested, go to this link:

a letter from satan
Posted in ...insights... on Jan 06, 2008 at 5:35 PM
Current mood: optimistic
I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores.
You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact, you didn't even bless your meals,
or pray before going to bed last night. You are so unthankful, I like that about you.
I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living, Fool, you are mine.
Remember, you and I have been going steady for years, and I still don't love you yet. As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate God.
He kicked me out of heaven, and I'm going to use you as long as possible to pay him back. You see, Fool, GOD LOVES YOU and HE has great plans in store for you. But you have yielded your life
to me, and I'm going to make your life a living hell. That way, we'll be together twice. This will
really hurt God.
Thanks to you, I'm really showing Him who's boss in your life with all of the good times we've
had.
We have been?
watching dirty movies,
cursing people out,
stealing,
lying,
being hypocritical,
fornicating,
telling dirty jokes,
gossiping,
being judgmental,
back stabbing people,
disrespecting adults,
and those in leadership do this to,
no respect for the Church,
bad attitudes.
commiting adultry,
"idolizing" created beings and things of this world...unaware you're actually idolizing ME
SURELY you don't want to give all this up.
Come on, Fool, let's burn together forever. I've got some hot plans for us. This is just a letter
of appreciation from me to you. I'd like to say "THANKS" for letting me use you for most
of your foolish life.
You are so gullible, I laugh at you. When you are tempted to sin, you give in.
HA HA HA, you make me sick.
Sin is beginning to take its toll on your life. You look 20 years older, and now, I need new blood.
So go ahead and teach some children how to sin. All you have to do is smoke, get drunk or drink
while under-aged, cheat, gamble, gossip, fornicate, and live being as selfish as possible.
Do all of this in the presence of children and they will do it too. Kids are like that.
Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now. I'll be back in a couple of seconds to tempt you again.
If you were smart, you would run somewhere, confess your sins, and live for God with what little
bit of life that you have left.
It's not my nature to warn anyone, but to be your age and still sinning, it's becoming a bit
ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I still hate you.
IT'S JUST THAT YOU'D MAKE A BETTER FOOL FOR CHRIST.
P.S. If you love me, you won't share this
