My name's Ashley, I'm a childhood cancer survivor and damn proud! I was diagnosed when I was 15 with a rare childhood cancer called dysgerminoma. This November will be 3 years cancer free!
I just graduated from Keystone Oaks High School in June. Because of my severe social phobia and mild case of agoraphobia, which I'm determined to get over in the next few years with the help and support from my family and friends, I'm taking some time off of school. When I get better I plan to attend the Community College of Allegheny County to get my Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology. After I'm finished with CCAC I want to transfer to the University of Pittsburgh to continue my education in their Radiation Oncology program. I'm determined to make that happen, no matter how long it takes me!
When my social phobia doesn't hold me back, I love to go to the movies and catch the latest horror flicks, I also can't get enough of amusement parks! Roller Coasters are my favorite ride. I'll ride anything, anywhere as long as I have someone to ride with me! What I'd really love to do is go across the US and visit some of the best Amusement parks!
My best friend for the past 13 years is Megan Erny! I love just hangin out with her and acting retarded! She's probably the only person I can be myself around.
I love going to concerts, I love the crazy atmosphere and the energy from the Band and the fans! Music is probably one of the best things in the world!! Movies are awesome! My dad and I love to kick back in the evening and watch a good movie! Niagara Falls is probably the coolest place I've been! I'm really not too fond of girly clothes, they're uncomfortable to me and I'd rather wear baggy jeans and a t-shirt, though on occasion I enjoy wearing them, but dressing up in dresses and skirts I can't stand!
My taste in guys vary but I'm mostly attracted to guys with short, dark hair and a muscular body. They don't have to be huge like wrestlers, though I wouldn't mind ;-)
Long hair is hott too!!
I'm a very quiet person, and tend to lurk in the shadows when I'm around people but if i get to know you and I feel you understand me well I'm pretty outgoing and adventurous, I'll probably do just about anything!!! Nobody really knows what kind of person i am. I hide myself from the world and i don't know how to stop. Except writing it down like i am here. The kids I went to school with will learn more about me from reading this than they ever did from being around me, even the ones I've know for 13 years. I'd consider myself a pretty sensitive person, my feelings can get hurt easily, and I can get offended easily but you'll never know it cause I'll just hide it from you. I'm full of useless facts that nobody really cares about. I'm very smart although my grades never reflected it. I love learning about everything...astronomy, psychology, sociology, the study and history of anything really.
Reading is one my favorite things to do, lately I haven't really read much. The Harry Potter books are my favorite series and just about anything else that's considered fantasy. I enjoy all kinds of books though. Watching documentaries about the world are something i really like to do. Halloween is my favorite season, i love going to haunted attractions and getting the shit scared out of me!
I am an atheist, but that doesn't mean you have to go and hate me, I don't think any less of you because you believe in God, I think the same should go for me. I respect your beliefs so respect mine. No, I do not worship the devil, i don't even believe in the devil.
I think Criss Angel is freakin AMAZING!! He's extremely sexy and talented and he is my #1 hero!!! Other celebrities I really respect and also consider my heroes are Michael Jackson and Jonathan Davis from KoRn!!!
For some reason I have a huge fixation with skulls, i have a small collection of them on my dresser, mostly from Spencer's. Don't ask me why but I think they're so badass. In the very near future I plan to get a tattoo of a skull on my left forearm. I love my cats Angel, Hedwig and our temporary guest Clarice to death! Don't know what I'd do without them! I think that's about it!
