Ive learned along the way, life holds no promises or light to guide the way.
Ive learned never to expect anything, assume anything or take anything or anyone for granted.
Ive learned that the only person I should depend on, is myself.
Ive learned not to feel sorry for the things I dont have, but to look at all the good I do have.
Ive also learned, life isnt about how wonderful you look, the clothes you wear, the house you live in or the car you drive.
It isnt about how much money you have, how many vacations you go on, or your social standing.
It isnt about being the best, the first, the smartest or the one with the most toys.
Life is about how you live it and who you made smile along the way.
Its about Listening, Giving, Sacrifice & Understanding.
Its about Forgiveness, Tenderness, Truth & Love!

Born into a musical family I cant help but brag about my Dad.We lived in Memphis, TN during the 50's when Dad wrote, sang, played, and recorded, My Love Song"-"Point Of View"-"What will I Do" & "Wrong Again" at "Sun Records." During his time at Sun Records, Dad became friends with Sam Phillips and many of the rising stars, also at the beginning of their music careers. Sun raised many great talents such as, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Rufus Thomas, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich and numerous others. It was a very significant time in music history, which set the pace for new beginnings in Rock n Roll.Dad wrote many songs then, some of which are, "Come On Little Moma"-"Where Did You Stay Last Night"- "Green Back Dollar" & "Foolish Foolish Heart," which he co wrote with Ray Harris. Dad also wrote "Night Theme" which was recorded by,"The Mark II"-"Lawrence Welk"-"Al Hirt"-"Ernie Freeman" -"Felix Slakins"-"The Phantoms"-"Floyd Cramer"-"Bob Crosby" -"The Chantays" & "The Preps.""Night Theme" was Dads biggest hit, which was number one on "Bill Board's Music Charts," for over a year. In addition "Hargus Robbins" recorded Dad's "Rip Tide" &"Chet Atkins" recorded "Teensville."I remember one day getting ready to watch dad on TV. My sisters and I were huddled together on the floor within inches of the tiny black and white screen. Mom was glued to her chair and I guess it didnt matter we were 3 hours ahead of time. We didnt want to miss anything! Dads music is still played all over the world and he continues to write and play.I feel very lucky to have these precious memories to treasure & Im very proud of my Dads many accomplishments and contributions to the wonderful world of music!!
