The Enola Gay was the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. The song "Enola Gay" is written in opposition to the atomic bombing of Japan, which besides the tune is another good reason to like this song. As an aside, the firebombing of Dresdin (Germany) was pretty messed up too.

Yeah this is one of my favourite tracks of OMD. Too bad they had few hits in the 90's and none in the 2000's.
