Okay so Wu-Tang killed it....obviously. There were an incredible amount of people there....I don't even want to estimate how many. And of course, every single one of them had their hands up in Wu formation.

I was luckier than most because I was in the photo pit (special thanks to Gaylynn!)...like no more than 8 feet from the stage. Every time the Wu crew performs, they do a tribute to Ol' Dirty Bastard. "We aren't mourning Ol' Diry Bastard's death...we are celebrating his LIFE!!!" And then they play "You, you got what I need....but you say he's just a friend....but you say he's just a friend." Cue the crowd....and everyone is singing. It's definitely a good time. Shaolin to Seattle, Wu Tang crew are the master of performance and getting a crowd high. ; ) By the way, I'm totally in love with Method Man.

The Frames absolutely blew me away. By far, one of the best sets of the festival. I didn't even know who they were and I saw them on the schedule at 7:30 at the Sound Transit Stage. I had just come from getting my pass (finally) and I decided to pass the time there before going to the main stage for Wu-Tang. Like I said, I didn't even know who they were, let alone how many fans they had. Their set lasted an hour, just as the sun was setting on Seattle. It was absolutely beautiful. I got to go backstage with my pass and onstage to take pictures as they performed. I took some shots but decided to experience it from the front. FANTASTIC!!!! One of my favorite songs was Revelate:

And everyone was yelling for Fitzcarraldo:

The only part that bummed me out was that I didn't know their lyrics to sing along with the rest of the crowd. When they were finished with their set, their fans had definitely not had enough...and neither had I. We were all screaming for them to play more. Finally, the lead singer came back onstage with his acoustic and sang a sad solo. He stopped in the middle and expressed how difficult it was to sing on his own and instructed security to hoist this chic out from the audience and onto the stage. One lucky and talented fan sang harmony with him. It was awesome, and we loved her. Congratulations to that lucky fan and to The Frames for putting on an awesome show and realizing how loved they are here in the States. Hope to see you next time!

So, Seattle is pretty chill y'all. All the people are super nice, the weather is surprisingly hot, and this festival is off the chain. Bumbershoot is located in Seattle Center in downtown Seattle, right by the space needle. Like literally, you can see if from every location inside the grounds. It's like a music festival and carnival rolled into one. People are walking around with huge stalks of corn on the cob and waiting in line for rides while talented artists are performing on stages.

Performers on the main stage included, Kings of Leon, Sean Paul, and Fergie. Little did I know that I was supposed to get a Samsung main stage pass when I walked in. I thought a festival pass was sufficient but Samsung wants to get everyone's mobil number so they can text you for the rest of your life. Needless to say, I didn't get to see Fergie....but me and the Urban Groove crew were trying to imagine what color her trademark plaid school girl skirt must have been. As the sun set on Day Two of the Festival, Local Seattle 206 crew hit the stage and I did get some photos and video of that act.

Next up was Zap Mama with some KICKIN reggae tunes and dances. She had an awesome voice and the crowd seemed to love them as much as we did.

Also, Ryan Shaw performed on Day Two as well. Couldn't get any video, but he's on imeem and I've got a special behind the scenes video for ya.

So I am off to Day Three. Hopefully I get my photo pass and get some quality photos for you today. Wish me luck!
