While off in Europe playing a slew of sold out dates earlier this fall, Calexico played the Paradiso in Amsterdam, and in typical fashion, they knocked it out of the park. Luckily, Fabchannel was there to document the whole show, which you can watch in stunning live video right here. It's well worth the time - trust us.

We mentioned earlier this week that the Calexico album "Carried To Dust" is out in stores.

You can now get a closer look at the life and times of Calexico's Joey Burns and John Convertino, by checking out the first two video installments in a series of Calexico shorts that NPR has posted on their All Songs Considered blog. There are more chapters to come in this love story to Tucson - stay tuned!

We recently released two brief album trailer videos that showcased some scenes around Calexico’s home base of Tucson, AZ. The first trailer was composed of visuals highlighting the city's local color, and the second stood on the stark impressiveness of an airplane graveyard.

Directed by James Fleischel, the full music video for “Two Silver Trees” - the track that was recently released for free download right HERE – is impressive in its own right, and acts as the logical marriage between the teaser clips. Elements from both are more fleshed out, and we get a deeper feel for the wide range of Tucson's character: what starts at the cozy confines of the Hotel Congress Tap Bar ends in an expansive and extraordinary desert scene. blog post See Calexico play in-store performance at Twist & Shout

Calexico will be making a special stop at Twist & Shout in Denver, CO on Saturday, August 9 at 2:30 p.m. They will be playing exclusively at Boulder’s Triple A Radio Summit on the 8th but will stay in Colorado long enough to do a special intimate acoustic performance at the store. Space will be limited, so wristbands are required. Pre-purchase their upcoming album, Carried to Dust (out on 9/09) at the Twist & Shout website, and receive both a wristband that guarantees entry as well as a CD booklet that you can have signed at the event.

Online pre-sale for this event ends on August 7 at 4 p.m.
