Born January 18th 1986, Cheryse Nicol Pickens is on the road to international stardom. Better known as Chey.N her passion for music and years of struggle have created this dynamic rapper/singer/writer/dancer/ and 1/2 of the production duo "The Cut Crew". More then just a multitalented artist, Chey is a direct reflection of the raw experiences that have shaped her life and the bright future she created for herself by dedicating her life to her dreams, those experiences only served to broaden her perspective and are just a part of what makes her so relatable to her steady growing fan base of people not only in the US but the UK, France and all over the world! Growing up between Sheffield England and New York City Chey started dancing at the age of 3 then was discovered by an agent during a trip to FAO Schwarz, which began her career in film and television. Since then she has appeared on well loved shows such as all my children, the "05 and "06 seasons of Law and Order, Criminal Intent and Special Victims unit, on networks such as Nickelodeon, NBC and ABC, and in musical theater productions from Les Miserables to Once on This Island... By 14 Chey had signed her 1st recording contract with an indie pop label called Krizza Muzic which then led to a partnership with the Persaud Brothers and their short lived label "Whylde Chylde Music". It was here that she worked with development agents T-Money (and later in 2007 with Dr Dre,fomer host of YO Mtv Raps) along with Ossie Gibson to help shape her unique Hiphop & RNB/Punk persona...After a 6 year hiatus she came back in 2007 with the mixtape Cheeky Pop Volume 1 showcasing a brand new style and some of the first releases of her spitting. The mixtape unexpectedly skyrocketed her from obscurity into the whos who of the internet by gaining (for her) one of strongest internet presences in the world as an unsigned artist (dont believe us? Google her!)...the rest is history in the making. She's blazing, from her bold fresh flow to her sharp lyrical content to her gritty soulful voice she is simply unlike any one else. Repping a new genre which she affectionately calls Cheeky Pop in homage to her British roots. Chey.N is currently shopping her project, working on her LP and collaborating both as an artist and writer with various other artists, producers, dj's, dancers, actors and directors.
