Crystal Antlers spanked your butt.
(from the Touch and Go/Quarterstick website):

Last year Pitchfork anointed Crystal Antlers' EP with an 8.5/Best New Music, thereby thrusting the band into the hype sector of the blog stratosphere. Backlashers need not apply: "Tentacles" delivers the goods in all the best ways hinted at on EP and you can hear it for yourself starting tomorrow!

On Tuesday March 3rd, the Crystal Antlers’ debut full-length album Tentacles will be available for sale online exclusively through iTunes US, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. All mp3-philes can link directly to the album on iTunes US or by going into your iTunes store and typing “Crystal Antlers.”

The street date for physical CDs and LPs of Tentacles is April 7th, and we're fired up about the beautiful gatefold packaging for both the LP and CD. These formats will be available at your local record store, major chain retailer, and at online retailers everywhere (you can preorder from Insound right here - http://www.insound.com/Crystal_Antlers_Tentacles__PRE-ORDER_CD/productmain/p/INS54379/).

blog post Debut full-length Tentacles out 4/07/09

Tentacles, the hotly anticipated debut album from Crystal Antlers, will be released on April 6th (Europe) and April 7th (North America) via the stalwart indie label Touch and Go Records, home to CocoRosie, Ted Leo, The Jesus Lizard, and many others.

Recorded and mixed on 2” tape at San Francisco’s Closer Studios in the span of one sleepless week, Tentacles is a document of the Antlers’ vigorous work ethic and breathless vitality.

Thirteen tentacles:

1- Painless Sleep
2- Dust
3- Time Erased
4- Andrew
5- Vapor Trail
6- Tentacles
7- Until the Sun Dies (Part One)
8- Memorized
9- Glacier
10- Foot of the Mountain
11- Your Spears
12- Swollen Sky
13- Several Tongues

Beyond the sonic expansion, the band itself has grown: original guitarist Errol Davis returned to the fold for Tentacles, bringing the personnel tally to one bass, two guitars, two drummers, and an organ. Davis will also be a part of the Antlers’ manic and massive live show, joining them on the road for the North American tour in March.

For now, Crystal Antlers are about to set sail for their first, gigantic European tour.
Check it out!

Don't Look Down
Crystal Antlers: Part 1 of 2: Until The Sun Dies (Part 2)

In the latest installment of DLD, Crystal Antlers perform high above mid-town Manhattan. Frontman Jonny Bell summons the chimney sweep inside, and scales the ledge during the first song, with a 25-story drop below.

Seriously guys, check this explosive performance out now!
