Well, I was here late last night helping out on the new website rollout. I am proud of it. There are a few things to point out:
1) imeem express now exists. imeem express is the web version of imeem. There is a lot more coming in express, needless to say. Let's say you are at work and you can't install software on that box... imeem express is a great way to still participate. The old blog.imeem.com stuff is deprecated and will be transitioned into express once we have it all working nicely.
2) new URL scheme for imeem express
http://dalton.imeem.com is me. http://dalton.imeem.com/blogs for my blogs etc. I know I like this a lot better.
3) smart-searches/browsing content from the website. You can click off of the tag cloud on www.imeem.com and see different content that is set to privacy "web-publishable." From the browse page at www.imeem.com/browse.aspx you can also see something similar to our familiar "smart-searches" from the client. You can get a feel for some of the highly-rated content in the system right off of our index page.
4) the contact page. www.imeem.com/contact.aspx . It's really easy to send feedback in a number of different ways from inside of the client, but it isn't terribly easy from the website. Well, now it should be easier. Building software is a 2-way conversation and I wanted to make it easier for people that aren't even imeem users to talk to us.
5) preparation for imeem for the mac. it totally kicks ass. We use it a lot internally right now. What's funny is that if you have chatted with some of us recently, there is a good chance we were on the mac client.
