Description
In my own words...

Well let's start at the begining. By that I mean my birth. Not birth in the literal sense but in the artistic sense if you will. I remember hearing ATCQ "The Senario" and "Award Tour"(which is my favorite song of all time) for the first time way, way, way back in 1993! I used to play the single for The Senario over and over again in my walkman till i had the lyrics memorized. Trying to be as animated as Busta( I heard you rushed and rushed, and attacked!). I had just started writing graffiti, and skateboarding was where you could find me(any good grind the world was mine!).

I was a California kid with huge dreams of being a snowboarder, but something bigger was growing from within. My love for Hip-Hop steered me away from that and toward writing graff and lyrics. The dream to get on stage and rock a crowd like some of the greats.

My dad used to play Jazz, and Salsa all the time when we rode together in the car. Around the house you would hear alot of different music as well. I could never convince him to play what was top 40 at the time, or any of the stations that I liked, but as a result I now have a greater appreciation for MUSIC as a whole. And I find myself listening to Jazz more than ever because of it. So a few years later and trade the West for the East coast I would find myself finally doing just that. Rockin a crowd, traveling out of the country and opening up for super stars that most people only see on TV.

I remember opening up for Kirk Franklin and Wynans Phase 2 in the Miami Arena(gone now to the AA arena). The rush, the crowd, something undeniable. It's true what they say about that feeling being addicting. You only want more of it.

So after doing countless small and large shows and being a part of groups that traveled around the city, ect doing school assemblies on staying away from drugs, to churchs, to street festivals, to arenas, to just the street. What I found was that I had something within me I could not shake. A desire to say something, and maybe just maybe help better the world that I loved beyond myself.

So fast forward to 2008 and what you find is the process for creativity and that creativity finally materializing itself in the form of my upcoming EP "Children of War". After having recorded in million dollar studios to bedrooms with a mic and a comforter in the corner I found this one thing to be true. That it really is all in the music. So although I struggle greatly sometimes trying to continue chasing this dream, what with all the setbacks that one faces when walking this road. At the end of the day I believe I was born to do this. My personality dictates it. The love is undeniable.

So I'll leave you with a quote from my fravorite group the legendary Roots Crew's lastes LP Rising down "I can't stop, I won't stop, I will not I, will rock" cause after all...The show must go on!
