When I Fall In Love - Nat King Cole






In a recent conversation i had with Diana, I remarked on how wonderful it is that we found each other on Imeem and our relationship continues to flurish without time dulling our affection for one another. We also remarked on how the songs we share with each other are like tiny time capsules reminding us of those evenings we spend together skyping or im'ing each other, and how these songs reflect the joy we share. Somehow in that conversation we discussed how many songs, echo our emotions and make our hearts beat fast letting us enjoy those moments together.

While discussing these songs, I posed the question of compairing our top ten favorite love songs to to what the world wide web thinks they are.
Granted that Diana and I are still feel very much like teenagers even though wer'e in the middle of our lives. The both of us still feel pretty hip and think we rock it out pretty good for an older couple. With that being siad, i understand how love songs can apply and be interpreted by the very young, by a couple growing a familly, and by an older couple enjoying the fruits of their retirement. By the song choices i have made i'm wondering if i have fallen behind the times / generation gapped myself... or has America lost touch with classic romance and thinks that my choices are nothing but old worn out dusties... As a matter of fact, i beg to ask the question ??? Where are Elvis Presley, Luther Vandros and Barry White, and would they make your lists ?

All songs on both of our lists are songs that we have shared with each other. As a couple, we were able to match up
on two songs, out of 10 after secretly building our top ten lists. We both like each others lists, and apprecite why each
one of us chose the way we did.

Do i think this years best love songs compair to the ones I listed sparking flames in our relationship... ??? There not my choices....

Do i think The all time top ten list is correct ???? No. I only found two songs i could romanticly court my girl with....

Has America lost a wee bit of of romance ???? ... In my opinion , yes... clasic cool never goes out of style.

Do i feel dated / Generation gapped for having choosing the way i did ??? ..... Not at all.

What i think it boils down to is that the song has to romanticly affect the both of you.
The songs we chose work for us....They bring us together and help us express ourselves romanticly and poeticly.
I couldnt ask for more from my girl, or my top ten list...
