Why can't men hit women back?

Ok FIRST OFF PLEASE READ THIS DETAIL BEFORE FREAKING ON ME
AND LET ME EXPLAIN MYSELF.

I dont agree with men beating up a woman in a brawl,
thats cowardly yes, but theres a difference between retaliation and beating someone up.

What im talking about is stopping a woman from hitting you.
E.G. Once a woman was hitting me, i asked her to stop, but she continued punching, kicking and even biting me, so i hit her once in the face, and she immediately retaliated,
i came off much worse than she did.

The whole "men are much much stronger than women therefore a man could do serious damage to a woman compared to the damage he can recieve" is a load of rubbish, i came off with broken hand, two black eyes, and a scar on my face. She came off with a black eye. And the court i took her too agreed that it was reasonable means of defending myself.

I got alot of words said behind my back about how pathetic i am about hitting a woman, but i didnt care. I give a woman a warning, and if she doesnt stop, i will stop her.
Also did it not cross these woman feminist' minds that a man can control how hard he hits someone.

But i would never beat up a woman.
Theres a difference between abuse and retaliation.

I dont think violence in any case is right,
And i agree that men shouldnt hit women for no reason or even if they are angry with them.

But i dont see how women should feel that if they hit a man, they are free to do so at their own amusement because they know that a man cant hit them back.

Men shouldnt hit women, but women should not hit men either.

Now please answer my question or say whether you agree or disagree with what i said in my detail.

P.S. when i said "she immediately retaliated" i meant to say she immediately retreated.
