Life can be such a bitch sometimes. I was starting my third week at my new job through Teamtemps last Monday, thought everything was going great then after lunch I get a call from Teamtemps which I never got a call from them while on the job before and they told me that, that day would be my last day on that job and was told to call them in the morning. I thought fuck...what just happened! The next day I called Teamtemps and they told me they (the company I was working for) didn't think I was going to work out because I had mentioned a week earlier that I was attending Valdosta Technical College and it seems that this company has a problem with anyone going to college. They had a previous employee who was attending college and then quit on them after they graduated, and since I was so close to graduating they felt that they didn't want to take the time to train someone who they feel would leave and go to work in the field they were studying. The second day I worked there the HR director chewed me out for telling the guy I was working under that I told him that I was going to school and then had the nerve to ask me why I didn't mention to her in the interview that I was going to school and I told her that if she has read my resume she would have known I was going to college, that shut her up real fast.

I just can't believe I was canned for going to college, that to me is so unbelievable. They told Teamtemps that they decided to let me go because I was so close to graduating and they didn't want to train someone who was going to eventually leave. I tried to tell them that I didn't plan on leaving any time soon but I guess that wasn't enough, oh well, such is life I figure it is their loss not mine. Now, I am back to square one, unemployed. Teamtemps is telling me they don't have anything open at this time, so now I am looking in the want ads every day something has got to give I need a permanent full time job that pays half way decent wages and that is proving to be difficult to find in this town. I have my first grandchild on the way to be born this December, not to mention a car I bought earlier this year that has a $319.50 a month payment and working for Teamtemps I can't even file unemployment. I have always believed things happen for a reason, when one door closes another one will open, but all I know that damn door needs to open like real soon because I am broke as hell...lol.

I was just reading the news at Billboard.com and they have an article about Led Zeppelin to perform a one night only concert on November 26, 2007. Here is the address to the article: http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003638786

They will be performing for a tribute to Atlantic Records co-founder and chairman emeritus Ahmet Ertegun, who died last December. The performance will be at London's O2 Arena. The tickets will be sold on a lottery basis.

Man, what I wouldn't give for tickets to that concert!

I had a job interview yesterday, I think it went very well. I hope to hear from them in the next couple of days. It is for the office manager for the parts department at a local hardware store here in town. I need to find some sort of employment as soon as possible because my bank account is getting pretty empty...lol. I don't know how jobs are around the country but here in Valdosta, Georgia they are very hard to come by. Well, any decent jobs. So, keep your fingers crossed for me I need all the luck I can get.
