Fresh out of the studio since January, Downfire is releasing its first full-length 13-track album “Redemption”. This Hard Rock/Metal band harboring influences such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, White Zombie, Black Label Society & Red Hot Chilli Peppers to name a few have been playing live since early 2005.
Downfire has shared the stage with national acts such as Testament, Zebra, W.A.S.P., Overkill & The Misfits from venues as close to home as the well known “The Chance Theater” in Poughkeepsie, & Webster Hall in NYC, NY to clubs in surrounding states from Massachusetts to Virginia.
In a world of music where it’s impossible to sound uninfluenced we embrace our diverse tastes in music ranging from one members love of old school metal, vocal and guitar harmonies to another members love of the accents and unpredictable structure of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Black Eyed Peas. This has allowed us to reinvent our sound into a band that when listening you can hear the various influences but not define by only one.
