blog post Cool Tshirt Sites
Posted in Ethan's Weblog on May 26, 2006 at 10:04 PM

I see another cool tshirt site about every other day, so it's about time I typed them up (since my memory span is about the length of a 30-second commercial spot, and the only site I can routinely remember is BustedTs - they must be doing their marketing right!).

http://www.bustedtees.com Busted Tees
http://www.socialpropaganda.com
http://www.tshirthell.com (most offensive, awesome shirts ever)
http://www.threadless.com
http://www.karmaloop.com (ok, they do MORE than shirts, but they're still cool...)

blog post Shining re-mix

OK, I know this has already made the rounds about three thousand times, but I got it sent to me again today, and watched it for the first time in a couple months - I have to say that it stands the test of time and gets even better.

Gotta love being able to edit The Shining down to look like a Disney-esque feel-good movie!!!

blog post I love Tron
Posted in Ethan's Weblog on May 23, 2006 at 9:59 PM

And it's possible that I love this guy even more - to echo the sentiments of my friend Ted, I've always wanted a lightcycle. But I'm not sure I ever wanted to be a mustachioed overweight man in my 40's pretending to be Clu (for who that is, check out http://imdb.com/title/tt0084827/).

And for the REAL bidness: http://www.tronguy.net/images/headshot.jpg

I lived about 2 blocks from Graumann's Chinese Theater for a glorious 4 months, and one of the most unusual phenomenons in Hollywood (dare I say in all of Los Angeles) revolves around the people who daily stand in front of the theater in costume. If you haven't seen them, there are anywhere between 5 and 15 people, depending on the day, who dress up in elaborate costumes such as Batman, Predator, Wonder Woman, Shrek, etc, and stand in front of the theater entertaining passers-by. Why? I have no idea - they must only make about $10 a day doing it. And it's a recent thing - for years it was just this one OG guy dressed as Superman (he's actually in a picture w/ Jason Lee somewhere, I'll have to try to track that down...).

Why do I bring all this up? B/C apparently one of them went a little, um, CRAZY yesterday: http://cbs2.com/topstories/local_story_141023454.html
