And not for nothing bu,t if you didnt realize, the entire album ("STILL SEARCHING") is a concept album. It is one story and Calling all Cars is no exception.

"Calling all cars, we've got another victim" is the police radio. This is foreshadowing of the arrival of the ambulance and presumably the police after his jump from the building in Cowboys and Priest/Matador.

"Oh my dear, what have I gone and done now?
It's curtain call, I'm about to take my last bow" Again, his suicide referenced.

Also, that entire song sounds to me as if he's writing it in letter form, or maybe a note (suicide)... to his ex-girlfriend (who he tried to drownd out by drinking in the previous songs).

FACT: i have YET to find a single version of a song that is better than the acoustic! right?
