Character designer Tetsuya Nomura was asked to create a "female version of Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII". During development, he has described her as "not very feminine".[10] Lightning is a young woman with long strawberry-Blonde hair. She is 176cm tall. She is given an unknown task by a Crystal. Lightning wields a combination gun/sword, which can also manipulate gravity. Lightning is only a codename and her true given name was said to be revealed somewhere within the game's plot.
Snow Villiers(スノウ・ヴィリアース, Sunō Viriāsu?)
A blond, bandanna-wearing male who rides Shiva in her motorcycle form and totes a large gun.He is a big character and is capable of running while carrying two people.[14] He was nicknamed "Mr. 33 cm" by the staff of Final Fantasy XIII because of his shoe size.In the October 2008 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, it is revealed that he uses a power that is related to the tattoo on his right forearm.
Oerba Dia Vanille (ヲルバ＝ダイア・ヴァニラ, Oruba-Daia Vanira?)
A girl with red-brown hair worn in pigtails who lives in Pulse. In a trailer, she was featured in the company of both Lightning and Snow. Her weapon resembles a modernized bow, and she was seen summoning Carbuncle from a disc in the trailer
Big Dark-Skinned Man
A man seen together with Lightning during the Jump Festa 2009 trailer. He seems to be working with Lightning and Snow and participates in the hijacking of the prisoner train.
Young Blonde Male
A young man who seems to complain about things, but gets them done nevertheless. He participates in the hijacking of the prisoner train. He also seems to have a different manner of speech.
Purple-tattooed Female
A woman who is shown with a purplish, butterfly tattoo on her shoulder. She seems to be impatient and uses a gun during the hijacking of the prisoner train.
Blonde military woman
A high-ranking commander with knee-length blond hair and glasses working for the Holy Government. She uses a high-powered sniper rifle. She also interrogates Vanille in a trailer.
Ponytailed man
An intimidating man wearing his hair up in a ponytail, who is seen leading the Cocoon army in a trailer.

final fantasy Agito XIII - Mostly shown in the trailer was Card-kun demonstrating some stuff, then some screens on how the game is played.
It sorta uses Crisis Core's battle system, only that you can alternate or switch between characters.

The FNC project is said to be released within next year, 2009. So I'm getting hyped up already.
