From your Homepage, go to the top menu bar and select Edit Profile followed by the Profile Type tab. Please note once you upgrade to a Musician/Director profile, you cannot go back to a standard profile.

At the top of your user Homepage, you will have the option to change your email address. You will need to enter your password and then submit the correct e-mail address. imeem will send you an email verification. In the email, you must click the verification link within 10 days to continue using our service.

If it's been more than 10 days, you will need to log in to imeem with the email address that you mistyped. Once you are logged in, you will have the option to change your email address. If you can't remember the mistyped email address, the best thing to do is to sign up again.

As an artist, band, DJ, you can promote your new music or video to your fans, friends, and other music lovers. You will be able to post upcoming shows, interviews, and promotional events. Soon you will be building a community for old and new fans and interacting with them on a daily basis in groups, messages, and blog posts. Another cool feature for our artists is the Stats page. You will be able to track your popularity and see where your fans are embedding your music. Join imeem and invite others into your music world!

As a movie director, producer, writer, you can promote your latest film to your fans, friends, and other movie buffs. You will be able to upload movie trailers, move clips, and behind-the-scenes footage that will create buzz for your upcoming releases. You can show other film producers your directing style and post screening dates, cast interviews, sneak previews to your fans. Another cool feature for our directors is the Stats page. You will be able to track which film clips are most popular and see where your fans are embedding your content. Join imeem and invite others into your film world!

If you are the artist or own the rights to a song, you will need to register your song in SNOCAP. Once you have done this, you can manage which songs you want to stream on imeem. Further, for the songs you permit on imeem, you can also earn money for them.

As a registed artist with SNOCAP, you can control which songs you want to be streamed at full-length to everyone on imeem. imeem uses a filtering technology to check whether you have permited full streaming for these songs.

If you did not register your songs in SNOCAP, your song could be claimed by another artist/label or misidentified. Please contact imeem support.

In our efforts to bring artists and labels access to new and innovative ways to promote, control, and earn more from their music, SNOCAP has partnered with imeem. Artists and labels who stream their music on imeem will earn income by sharing some of imeem's advertising revenue.

The SNOCAP technology will automatically identify tracks uploaded by our users and determine if the artist/label of the song permitted the full stream.

If you already have a SNOCAP account and would like to participate in the imeem/SNOCAP program, no action is required on your end. You have already been opted-in and have started to earn money. This is an extension to your current SNOCAP service offering, and per your original agreement with SNOCAP, your catalog will automatically be opted-in under a streaming Use Term until such time as you choose to opt-out.

Once you have your imeem Profile set up, make sure to upload the songs you would like to promote and include in the advertising revenue share program. You should also upload videos, photos and blogs that you want to share with imeem’s growing online community.

We no longer require a username to log in to imeem. Simply enter the email address associated with your account and then your password.

You will need to reset your password if you forgot it. To do this, click here. Then enter the email address associated with your imeem account. An email will be sent to that address. Click the link in the verification email to reset your password.

A custom URL or webtag will determine the address of your profile and content on imeem. You can send your imeem address to your friends and have them check out your newest song or video . Choose your webname carefully since it cannot be changed.

A tag is a way to bookmark content that you like on imeem. The more you tag, the easier it is to keep track of the cool and interesting stuff you've seen. So the next time you're on imeem, you can easily find the same content by entering the tag in the Search textbox. Feel free to tag your stuff and other user's stuff too. To make searching more efficient, keep your tags relevant to the content.

A group is a great way to connect with others who share the same interest as you. You can hold group discussions on a favorite film or band , a specific topic. upcoming event, and much more. If you are an artist, director, or imeem partner, a group will help you connect with your fans, share your latest music or film, and update them with concert dates or movie premieres. It's like having your own channel.

A badge is like your personal imeem business card. It's an easy way to share your imeem profile and draw people to your page. You can customize your badge and then add it to your other blog sites, your personal website, or anywhere else on the web!

A blog is like an online journal. You can post a blog on a related topic in a particular group. You can also create a blog post in your Profile and talk about a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news. Others who share your interest can post a comment to your blog post.

A widget is an interface element that a user interacts with, such as a window or a text box. In imeem, any section on your Profile page, such as the Featured Music Playlist or the About sections, are considered widgets.

When browsing through the imeem website, you will come across songs, videos, photos, or playlists from other user's Profile that you enjoy. To easily find and play these contents again, you can save them to your Profile as your Favorites.

To find your Favorites, navigate to your profile. Next click the section titled Favorites. You will be able to sort through all the media that you have favorited using the tabs at the top.

QuickMix is a music playlist that you can populate with songs while browsing imeem. It's a great way to quickly add and listen to a bunch of songs and figure out what you like and dislike.

You can think of a QuickMix as a temporary playlist. However, if you like the QuickMix you have created, you can save it to your profile so that you can listen to it at another time.

A poll is a fun way to ask your friends their opinions on an interesting topic. It's a great way to interact and network with new people in the imeem community too.

To participate in polls, click the Community link in the top navigation bar. When creating new polls, just ask a question and provide up to 5 answers for users to select from. After someone casts a vote, the poll automatically displays the results in a bar graph with the total percentage.

Fans are users who have favorited your media. You can see who your top fans are from your Stats page. From there, you can navigate to the fan's Profile page and check out their Favorites and find which content of yours they liked the most.

To view your Stats, navigate to your Homepage. Then go to the top menu bar and select What's New followed by Media Stats.

A battle is when you ask your friends a question and have them choose Song 1 or Song 2 as their answer. It's a battle between 2 songs. You can currently only battle songs that you uploaded.

To create a battle, navigate to your Homepage. In the top menu bar, select Create followed by Battle. Then enter a question and your choice for Song 1 and Song 2. Click the Create Battle button to start the battle.
