Is there an area on our profile that we can insert a layout or background?
Also....does imeem have their own list of layouts or backgrounds that the users could choose from?

If not, may I make a suggestion if imeem could look into this.
It would make our profiles look so much better than just a header like many of us have now.

Hi guys,

Yes, you can change the layout and background color of your Profile page.

To change the background color...
Log in to the imeem website. From your user homepage, go to the left menu bar and select "Edit Profile" followed by "Change Colors". In the 'Change Colors' section, click the "Theme Color" box and wait for the color chooser to appear. Then select the theme color for your profile. If you select the "Manually Pick Colors" checkbox, you can select more colors or manually enter other HTML color codes. Click the "Save Colors" button to update the color changes.

To change the layout...
From your user homepage, go to the left menu bar and select "Edit Profile" followed by "Change Layout". You will have 3 column styles to choose from. Further, you can move the widgets around to the desired column, add new widgets, or remove widgets. When you are done, click the "Save" button to update your Profile page.

You can refer to a previous response (above) on how to change your background color and image. If you want your background to be entirely transparent, it is not available at this moment.

how do u get the dang layouts if u have it

i think you guys should be like Myspace and allow people to put in codes incase they dont like the backgrounds on imeem and suck at making their own , plus the random thing makes boring backgrounds . and also if there could be a way to insert background codes people could get really cool backgrounds that they would never be able to make .

er no. This is where imeem is smarter than Myspace. People who use pre-made layouts (found from other sites) are always getting hacked. That's why you see so many "Hey my friend got a $500 Macy's gift card and you can too!" comments in their profile.

It's better to be creative and use the theme page imeem has-----> trust me.

I make lots of them and then tell people to add them and put them on their hp. So if you still want one just tell me  what ya want it about.

To get backgrounds you can do a search on Google.

Imeem does have their own layouts got to edti profile, profile theme, edit theme, and the there should be a link on the profile you're gonna edit, the link says feeling luck click here and it has a bunny on the left side of the box

I know how to do it, just noting the overview link is blank for me and shows up as empty. Oh well, it's not that hard to edit the profile. I think it would be nice if they had more of a variety for pre-created profiles for those who don't want to go through the hassle of making their own from scratch and external graphics. Perhaps an official of IMEEM can open a thread for people to contribute created themes, and some of those are chosen to be default profiles to choose from for members.

I love my theme. If it weren't for imeem I could never make this on my own. Check it out and tell me what you think, guys!!

In the Theme Editor page, scroll to the "Wallpaper Background" blue box (on the right) and click the "Edit" link inside. In the popup box, click the "Background Color" box. Select the desired color and then click "ok" to close the color selector. Last, click the “Ok” button to close the popup box and then click the “Save Theme” button to update your background.

go to edit page then>> profile theme>>edit theme >>then click background image [edit] >> upload the image that you want for your background and so as the others if you wanna make it transparent choose the last box option which is the transparent

well sometimes you can take people background/layouts and alternate it from that. and when i say alternate i mean like change the picture(s)... toa certain size and stuff like that thats what i did to my background.

Imeem gives you great customization features when it comes to creating your own layouts for your profile, just follow their instructions under the profile theme and mess around.  You can also go to google and look for some free imeem layouts.

Why cant we get more choices on layout on another website and paste it on our imeem profile, cause I see one I like and i want it so bad and i cant get it. And no imeem does not have it.

On Imeem, in the Theme Editor page of your Profile Layout, you can choose your general font settings, change your wallpaper background (to any color or image you want, such as the one you saw on another website), set your header image (pick your own graphic), edit section headers, etc.

there is not 1 fricken way homie nothing simple here!!!
