Yuto fic, to be exact!!
It's an OCxYuto pairing..
It's my first, so I think it's not too good.. But comment please!!

When the bell rang and when he entered the cafe. That’s when the story all began…
Sweeter Than a Strawberry Cake
“Rui-chan!!! Are you listening!?”
Rui-chan snapped out from her thoughts as she stared at her cousin, Caroline.
“Ahahaha, gomen ne, Carol-chan.”
Caroline crossed her hands as she sighed.
“Day-dreaming of ‘him’ again?” she asked as she pointed her fingers to a young boy who sat with his friends, laughing with them.
The 14 years old girl blushed and held her crimson red cheeks.
She glanced at the boy who’s known as Nakajima Yuto. They went to the same school. In fact, they were in the same class. But since she was a shy girl who could only got along with people who were close to her, she rarely talked with Yuto. That’s why, she doubted that he even knew her name. No, in fact, she doubted he knew that they were in the same class. In her memory, she could only remember that they talked twice. Once when she was in the library, trying to get the book she wanted. But since it was placed to high, she couldn’t get it. Then Yuto came and helped her took the book. At that time, Rui started to adore him. But that adoration turned to love when they talked the second time. At that time, Rui was running through the hall, towards the teacher’s office. She has collected all of the class reports which her biology teacher wanted. And she needed to give them as soon as she could, cause the faster they collected it, the better marks they would get. When she ran through the stairs, she slipped and fell. When she thought that it was the end of her, someone caught her and it was Yuto. He asked her if she was okay, and helped her collect the reports which fell to the floor. And starting that time, Rui knew she was in love with Nakajima Yuto.
“Ru-i-chaann…”
Rui snapped out from her thoughts as she felt someone pinched her cheeks, which was done by Caroline.
“Stop day-dreaming, or aunty will get mad…” Caroline said, still pinching Rui’s cheeks.
“Okay, okay!! I get it!!” Rui yelled in pain.
Caroline stopped and Rui held her red cheeks as she cried a bit.
“Carol, could you take order from table number 15? And Rui, please take this cake to table number 7.” Echizen Reiko, who was Rui’s mother and Caroline’s aunt asked.
Actually, this café was built by Rui’s father for his wife, because it was her dream since she was on highschool. At least, that was what Rui heard. The café was located near Rui’s school, so usually the café was full of students when the school ended. Rui herself went to the café after school has ended, not as guest but as a helper. She helped her mother together with her cousin who came from England and stayed at her house as she went to highschool. Her parents sent her to Japan because she was interested to Japanese fashion, so she spent her highschool and college in Japan. Caroline was 2 years older than Rui, but she’s still a childish girl. She also had a young looks, so sometimes people mistaken her as a 14 years old girl, not a 16 years old girl. But because of that, Rui and Caroline could get along well. Especially because Caroline is a friendly girl.
“Haik.” Caroline and Rui answered in a choir. Caroline took some kind of notebook and menu on her hands, while Rui took the cake her mother gave.
Caroline glanced at Rui and smirked. “Do you want to switch place with me?” she said. Her smirk hasn’t left her heart shaped face.
Rui blushed and shook her head. Caroline could see her nervousness through her eyes. She sighed.
“Suit yourself. But just tell me when you want to switch.” She winked and left.
Rui sighed when Caroline left, and made her way to table number 7 to serve the cake. She went back as soon as she finished with her job, and once again glanced at Yuto.
She saw her cousin took order from them as she laughed. Guess they joked about something which made her laugh. Rui sighed. Caroline is beautiful, and almost everyone who came to the café loved her. She was their favourite. She’s cheerful and nice, her smile was cute and she’s a sweet person. She could be rough sometimes, but she did that for the ones she cared for. Rui remembered once a guy was forcing her to go for a date with him, and Caroline suddenly poured that guy’s drink on his head. Then, she yelled at him and told him to get lost. Rui giggled as she remembered that. Caroline sure was a interesting girl. But that made her jealous. Rui always envy her for everything she had. Popularity, talent, looks and character. She envy her for all of them. She’s a fun girl, and everyone loved the girl. She was very talented in arts and music. Sometimes, she sang when a customer asked her, and her voice was beautiful. She had a very beautiful face. Her heart shaped face, her blond long and straight hair, her marine blue eyes, her soft and peach-colored lips, her sharp nose, her pink and chubby cheeks. She’s beautiful, cute, sweet and adorable on the same time. Rui heard lots of the customers and her friends at school liked her. And her character was very interesting.
And her?? Well, she’s not that bad. She also had a heart shaped face, sharp nose, pink and chubby cheeks, and soft lips. She had dark long wavy hair and brown eyes. She was actually beautiful and cute too. She has nice attitude and a nice girl. She’s actually a fun girl when people had known her for long. But she’s a shy girl, and that’s why she didn’t get lots of friends. She knew her talent was cooking, but her mother won’t let her joined her cause she’s inexperienced. She said Rui would need to wait till she entered highschool. And that’s why, she didn’t have a place to trained that talent of her. If she compared herself to Caroline, she felt ugly.
Rui sighed once again.
“What’s with the looks?” Caroline asked as she gave the paper which contained orders to her aunty.
Rui stared at her blankly. Caroline placed her hands on her hips and sighed.
“Anyway!!” she said as she sat across Rui’s. “I’ve decided, you’ll be the one who will take their food to them!!”
Rui widen her eyes in disbelief as she yelled a “WHAT!?” and stood from her chair.
“It seems they recognize you and tell me to tell you to bring their food to them.”
Rui blushed. They recognized her? Wait, that means Yuto recognized her??
“Aw, the drinks are out!!” Caroline exclaimed as she saw another helper brought some drinks that table 15 had ordered. She walked to her and talked with her. Then the girl gave the drinks to Caroline and walked back to the kitchen.
“Here, Rui-chan!” Caroline gave the drinks to Rui. She then tapped her shoulder and pushed her softly towards table number 15. “Ganbatte ne!” she said, almost whispering.
Rui blushed. But she nodded and walked to table number 15, where Yuto and his friends sat.
‘Kami-sama, please give me courage.’ She thought as she tried to calm herself, which worked a bit.
“Here’s your drink.” Rui said. She could talk and act normally, but nervousness still could be seen in her brown eyes.
She placed the drinks on the table.
“Ahh, so it is Echizen-chan after all!!!” a boy who sat on Yuto’s left exclaimed. Rui knew him as her classmate who sat behind Yuto.
“Ichii, stop that! You’re dragging people’s attention.” Another guy who sat on Yuto’s right said. Rui knew him. He was Yamada Ryosuke. He tried to hide his face, and Yuto did the same. It would be a big trouble if the the other customers, especially the girls, recognized them.
Two other boys stood and bowed to the other customers as they said “Gomenasai.” To them. She knew them as her schoolmate. Maybe they were from the class next door.
“Ichii, you should low your voice!” one of the boys scolded Ichii.
“Tsukasa is right!” the other agreed. “What if Yuto and Ryo was spotted? We’ll be dead for sure!”
“Ahahaha, it’s okay, Takacchi. If Caroline-chan will take care of me, thaen it’s a no problem!” Ichii said as she glanced at Caroline who was taking order from another table near by.
Yuto laughed. “Guess you need to be careful with your words, Ichii. Look, now Echizen-san knew your feelings for Caroline-chan.”
Ichii looked at Rui like he was looking at a monster. “I’m DOOM!! Please don’t tell her about this, please!?” he begged.
Rui binked and giggled. She nodded and said, “I can’t promise you that I’ll keep my mouth shut.”
“EKH!? Come on, we’re classmates, aren’t we?? Can’t you help this classmate of yours?? Pleaseee?????” Ichii begged again.
They all laughed.
“Alright, I’ll keep it a secret.” Rui said as she smiled.
“Keep what a secret?” Caroline popped out from Rui’s back.
“N-NOTHING!!” Ichii exclaimed. He blushed a bit.
The others laugh.
Caroline frowned as she raised her right eyebrow. She put their cakes on the table and glanced to Rui.
“Rui-chan, care to explain?”
Rui giggled. “Gomen, Carol-chan, but this time, I can’t tell you.”
“Aww, Rui-chan hidoii..!!” Caroline frowned as she hugged her from behind.
They all laughed.
“I need to go back to the kitchen now.” Rui said, but Caroline didn’t let her.
“No! Why don’t you just chat with your friends here for the day? I’ll ask auntie’s permission for you.”
“But I-“
“No buts!!” Caroline took an empty chair and placed it between Yuto and Ichii. “I’ll take care your parts! Oh yea, and I’ll order your favourite.” She winked and left before Rui could reply her.
“Caroline-chan is so cute, isn’t she??” Ichii said as he stared at Caroline.
The others laughed, while Rui gave a force laugh. She blushed, nervousness could be seen from her eyes. ‘Carol-chan, why did you place the chair next to Yuto??’ she thought.
“Echizen-san” Yuto called. “Why don’t you take a seat and chat with us?” he asked cheerfully.
“Yea, we rarely chat with you!” Ichii continued.
“Yea, that’s true.” Ryosuke agreed.
The other 2 boys just nodded, although they actually didn’t know her.
In the end, Rui sat next to Yuto and chatted with them. Rui also introduced herself and made friends with Tsukasa and Takashi, who usually called as Takacchi. And now they also knew that Rui and Caroline are cousins. Not long afterwards, Caroline came with a strawberry cake, which is the same as Yuto’s and drink for Rui.
“So Echizen-san also like this cake?” Yuto asked as he ate his strawberry.
Rui nodded.
“Hahaha, no she doesn’t, Yuto-kun. She LOVES it!!” Caroline said.
“Hahaha, then she’s just the same with Yuto!!” Takacchi exclaimed.
“Yea, he also LOVES that cake very much!” Tsukasa added.
“Hahaha, I guess you two will make a sweet couple!” Ryosuke joked.
“Ryo!!” Yuto punched him jokingly while Rui blushed.
They chatted for a while and Caroline left to the kitchen. Not long afterwards, Ichii, Tsukasa and Takashi left. Ichii needed to picked his little sister up, Tsukasa got a date and Takashi needed to got home earlier cause he would have a dinner with his big family.
“You all left already?” Caroline asked as she brought the bill.
“Yuto and Ryo are still here.” Tsukasa said.
“We still got some free time.” Ryosuke said as he paid the bill together with the others.
“Sou ka.” Caroline said, taking the bill again, with the money.
“Ja ne, minna.” Tsukasa said.
”Ja ne!” Takashi said.
”Jaa!” Ichii said.
”Matta ne.” they replied.
“Caroline-chan, I LOVE YOU!!” Ichii said as he waved from the café’s door.
Caroline giggled followed by Yuto, Ryosuke and Rui’s laughter.
“I love you too!” Caroline answered jokingly as she blew a goodbye kiss.
They laughed when Ichii blew Caroline a goodbye kiss too and left as he hopped like a rabbit along the way.
“Yuto, I need to go to the toilet.” Ryosuke said.
“Sure.” He answered.
“Wait for me, okay?”
Yuto laughed. “Okay, okay.” He answered.
“I need to go too. Got to give this money to aunty.” Caroline said as she stuc out her tounge.
Both of them left Yuto and Rui alone.
Rui blushed. Her heart can’t stop pounding so fast. But she tried to calm herself down.
“So,” Yuto tried to open a conversation. “I don’t know you also like strawberry cakes.”
Rui nodded. “Well, I like strawberries.” She started. “I sometimes bake a strawberry cake myself.”
“You can bake a strawberry cake??”
Rui nodded.
“Umm, I’m going to make a strawberry cake tomorrow, on cooking lesson.” She started. “Would you mind… to try it?” she asked as she blushed.
“I would love to!!!” Yuto exclaimed happily, which grew a big smile on Rui’s lips.
Tomorrow, she would do her best!
The next day, like what Rui had promised, she made a strawberry cake on cooking lesson and gave it to Yuto on break time, secretly.
They were on the school’s garden. It was hot at that time, but the trees made them felt cool. Sometime, some cool breeze blew.
“Here it is.” Rui gave Yuto her cake. “My strawberry cake.”
Yuto took it from her and started eating it.
“Oishii!!” he exclaimed with a big smile. “It’s delicious!!”
Rui gave him a smile as she blushed a bit.
Yuto continued eating his cake.
“You sure are good in cooking!!” he praised when he finished with the cake.
Rui once again blushed when he praised her.
“Totally different with Caroline-chan who can’t cook anything.” He laughed.
Rui just nodded and gave a soft “Uhn.” She forced a soft smile.
It’s just the two of them and Yuto still talking about Caroline. Rui gave a sigh. Was Caroline the one that Yuto like? She gave a sigh again.
“Echizen-chan!”
Rui felt someone hands held her cheeks. She blushed when she realized they were Yuto’s, and when she realized that their faces were so closed to each other.
Yuto smiled. “What’s with the sad face?? Smile, Echizen-chan!!” he cheered her as he moved away again.
“Beside,” he continued as he lowed his voice down. “Your smile really make up my day.” His cheeks redden a bit.
“Ekh?” Rui asked as she blushed. Did he mean that...??
“How can I say this…” Yuto scratched his not itchy head. “I mean…” he started. “I think you’re sweeter than a strawberry cake when you smile.”
Silence.
Rui widen her eyes and giggled.
“What!?” Yuto asked.
“Ahahaha, it’s nothing!!” she answered. “Let’s go back now. The bell will ring in 5 minutes!”
“You’re right!!” Yuto exclaimed in shock when he saw his watch. “Let’s go!!”
Rui nodded and ran along with him.
Now that she knew how he felt, the only thing she need is courage.
“They’ll definitely started dating soon.” A familiar voice could be heard from behind a tree around the area.
Giggles.
“They will, I’m sure of it!” A girl’s voice could be heard too.
“But Caroline-chan, we sure are lucky. If you didn’t call me 5 minutes later, they would caught us for sure.” Ryosuke laughed.
Laughter could be heard from across the phone.
“Guess Kami-sama is on my side.” She replied.
They both laughed.
“By the way, the 5th lesson will start soon. I guess I better go back.”
“Sure, sure.” Caroline answered. “Thanks for your help, Ryo. I owe you.”
“No problem!” Ryosuke winked although he knew Caroline couldn’t see him.
“Ahaha, how I love you, Ryo!” she said. “Oh yea, tell Ichii I don’t love him anymore. I’ve just got my prince today.”
Ryosuke laughed. “Caroline-chan hidoii. But I’ll tell him.”
“Thanks! Tell me how’s his reaction, ok?”
“I will, definitely.” They laughed. “Ja ne!”
“Matta ne!”
Ryosuke ended the conversation as he looked to the blue sky.
‘Hope they’ll start dating soon.’ He thought once again with a smile, and walked into the school building as the bell started to ring.
