For fans of Dir en grey or those who just want to learn more about them. Whether you have loved them since the late 90s or just discovered them last week, you are welcome here.
There are several Dir en grey groups on imeem. You might just join all of them, but we would most recommend the
Dir en Grey group, which is described as a "Dir en grey media and information group not a fanclub." So we will be the other side of the grey coin -- the fanclub. As for the media, we will try our best to offer some different items, so members will benefit from both groups rather than just being a repeat of the same stuff.
Please don't write asking me to send you songs/albums. Those who cannot afford to buy cds can listen here, but we would encourage everyone who is able to buy the albums. And please buy from
CDjapan or
yesAsia or some other reputable source, not eBay. Most of the cd/dvds on eBay are bootleg copies which do not support the band at all. You like Dir en grey? Want to keep them able to put out albums and do tours? BUY their stuff, from a source that will profit the band. It's worth shelling out a few extra bucks.
We don't want our forum to become yet another outlet for hormonal teens to rant about which member is "hawt" and how much you would like to "do" them. And we don't want elitist jerks flipping out every time someone dares mention that these guys are attractive. Let's try to have an even balance here.
Differences of opinion are always welcome so long as you have an actual point to make and you respect everyone else while expressing it. If you announce that something "sucks" in a community of fans, you are sure to start a wank war and we don't want that, so please keep your criticism constructive and respectful.
Also we don't want any discussion of "pairings" or anything of that nature. If you wish to discuss this sort of thing, try posting it on one of the Dir groups with no forum posts in the past 3+ weeks. They probably won't mind, they could use the activity.
If you're strictly interested in media, the
Dir en Grey group is your best choice. But if you'd like to hang out with other fans, discuss, share cool info or anecdotes, this is the place for that. Even if you don't say much here, just joining the member ranks will be showing your support.
Being a monument to honour the band is good enough for me. besides, "Merciless Cult" was such a perfect name for a Dir group, I just couldn't resist. =p
