You are the love of a lifetime
I've always wanted as mine,
and you are the special soul mate
i always hoped I'd find

You are my very own, one perfect person:
everything I always hopes for.... my secret
dream that swept me off my feet and really
did come true.

You have the warmth of the morning sun in
your spirit, and you have a gentle soul that
I want to always be close to. I deeply , dearly,
and happily love you

I can barely begiin to tell you how much I value
the exquisite closeness that we have been given.
It is a truly beautiful blessing...

And there will never be a day when I
will take even one moment of that joy and
the sweetness fro granted. I know what
a gift your are.

I want you to know it, too.

You have an amazing way of touching
my heart, and you have a way of
turning every day into a time and a
place where the nicest feelings and the
deepest gratitude all come together.

I have such an immense amount of
thanks and appreciation for all this.

And if it's okay with you...
I'd love to go n loving you
FOREVER

Her hair was up in a pony tail,
Her favourite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
And she couldn't wait to go.

But her mummy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.

But still her MO there worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
A dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the back wall,
For everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
Anxious in their seats

One by one the teacher called
A student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
As seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
A man who wasn't there.

'Where's her daddy at?'
She heard a boy call out.
'She probably doesn't have one,'
Another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
She heard a daddy say,
'Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day.'

The words did not offend her,
As she smiled up at her Mum.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.

And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.

'My Daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.

'Cause my daddy's always with me,
Even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
He'll forever be in my heart'

With that, her little hand reached up,
And lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favourite dress.

And from somewhere in the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.

'I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.

You see he is a soldier
And died just this past year
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy
And taught brave men to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away.'
And then she closed her eyes,
And saw him there that day.

And to her mother's amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
& they saw him at her side.

'I know you're with me Daddy,'
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room c ould explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
That heaven is never too far.

Send this to the people you'll never forget and
Remember to send it also to the person that sent
It to you. It's a short message to let them know
That you'll never forget them.

If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're
in a hurry and that you've forgotten your
friends.

Take the time...to live and love.

Until eternity. God bless!

Age of six
He loved her so
And everyday
He'd let her know

"I love you Grace"
He'd say each day
She'd just laugh
And run away

Till one day
She turned around
And sat with him
On the playground

"I'm sorry Chris
I don't love you
You'll find someone else
Who loves you too"

High school came
They met again
They laughed about
The things back then

They began to date
And fell in love
He got the girl
That he'd dreamed of

But when college came
Everything changed
They were far apart
With lives rearranged

"We'll be fine Grace"
But she had doubt
She turned and said
"It won't work out"

"I'm sorry Chris
I can't love you
You'll find someone else
Who loves you too"

In their twenties
They met again
They laughed about
The things back then

He took her hand
They began to dance
Remembering
Their old romance

Two years later
She became his wife
They'd be together
All of their life

They went on a drive
When it was no longer light
They drove down the roads
Of the starry night

The music came on
She started to sing
He whispered, "Grace
You're my everything"

But then suddenly
In one big flash
Headlights shone
As their car crashed

He saw her laying
Down on the ground
He felt his tears
Start rolling down

"Grace..." he cried
She took his hand
"I have to leave...
Please understand"

"I love you so much
It's always been true
But you'll find someone else
And you'll love again too"

"No," he cried
"It's always been you
I don't want someone else
I only want you"

And there on that street
Is where he cried
Hugging his love
As she slowly died

Current mood: emo
a lonely room of emptiness
and your neatly made up bed,
keep calling me to climb the stairs
each step is one i dread

so many times you came to me
for something small and trite
or tried my patience and my fear
by vanishing from sight

the time i said, "oh, not now!
perhaps some other day"
very often, i promised
but had no time to play

my job came first, and with the pay
i knew i'd buy you the best
i'd work so hard, both night and day,
with hardly any rest

in school you'd wear the finest clothes,
out shining all the rest
you many friends would all agree
that no one was better dressed

and then, one day, a man would come
and ask me for your hand
and i would throw you such a ball,
with all the funds at my command

and then, a grandchild on my knees
her smile just like her mother's
all this and more i wanted for you
my darling child, no other

i needed just a little time
to make it all come true
AMBITION! was it such a crime
to keep myself from you

who could've known that God would take
you early to his own
and leave me with my shattered dreams
frightened and alone

a bank account cannot replace
your smile and childish glee
i'd give it all oh every cent
to have you back with me

now in your room, i breathe a prayer
that we are not apart
then gently clutch your teddy bear
against my broken heart

Current mood: emo
As a nine year old girl went to bed
She slid a pillow underneath her to rest her delicate head
Her eyes slowly closed, she was drifting to sleep
Dreaming of the ocean and its blues so deep

She awoke in the night around one o'clock
She dreaded being awake instead of on that dock
She sat up in bed and put her feet on the floor
When there was a loud noise, it came from behind the door

She closed her eyes tightly, straining to hear the sound
When she heard it again, it was a sudden pound
She ran over and swung wide open the door
There was nothing but another sound on the upstairs floor

She went up the stairs and looked around
I was horrible and painful of what she found
a hand brought to her mouth and a gun to the throat
Her eyes swarmed for fear as she put a hand on a man's coat

The light was turned on as she saw her bloody dad
As a hand pushed her onto the coach, she knew her father had been bad
A man with a mask walked to her side; she knew he was completely high
She looked at her dad and knew they were going to die

The man whispered in her ear, "Your daddy owes ma money
So I came to claim it and I guess to meet his little honey
But if daddy doesn't pay he's going to suffer
Don't you kind of wish he was a little tougher?"

She smelt whiskey in his breath, which made her want to gag
But he got up from the coach and went to her dad with a bag
He wrapped it around his head, cutting off all his air
She stood looking at her father and pulled a ribbon from her hair

"Wait," her little voice bravely called out to the man
He drew the bag off her dad's head and moved him toward the fan
"You cannot make my dad suffer, I love my dad
He doesn't deserve this you're just mad because he took everything you ever had

"He took my money," he said as his eyes grew with hate
"He didn't give it back., I guess he's just too late
I'm going to take his life just like he took mine
But you wouldn't understand you're a little girl probably only nine

"I understand enough, sir," her little voice said bravely to the guy
See this little child knew what to do to make sure her dad didn't die
"I don't want my dad to die, but you want to take his life
If I didn't have my dad I'd have no one so instead put down the knife

When I was five my mom died leaving only my dad to take care of me
I really missed my mom but he was always there for me, see
I know he doesn't need me as much as i need him
I know me gone will only make his life a little dim

So don't take his life but instead take mine
This way you get what you want and he won't have to go pay a dime."
The man stood astound at this brave little child
He looked deep it her face, it was completely filed

"Baby, no, you don't have to do this for me," her dads called out
He was bloody and messy and full of doubt
The child walked up to her dad and placed a hand o his shoulder
She knew he was strong and had always been her soldier

"Don't worry about me, Dad, I'll be up in heaven with mom
You know she'll protect me and keep me in her palm."
She looked at her dad as he begun to cry
He was so proud of his wise little girl and how she for him will die

She placed the ribbon in the middle of his hand
He held if delicately as if it were sand
The little girl left her dad and went over to the guy
He looked really happy, as he knew she was going to die

"I love you, Dad," she smile through eyes full of tears
She spread her arms wide open, she has no fears
The man held a gun to the little girls chest
He pulled the trigger and finished his quest

The little girl feel weightlessly on the floor, her body poured out blood
The man ran out of the house and into his car without a hood
He drove off without a care of what he had just done
This would not be a burden on him or weigh a tone

Her father cried as he sunk to the floor
He didn't care when that man walked right out the door
He looked at his hand, which laid the ribbon that was ratty
Inscribed in the redness said, "I love you DADDY."
