The Main character is Aoyagi Ritsuka and two years ago an incident happened where he found his brother Aoyagi Seimei's dead body burned and reclothed in his seat in his school. Now at age 10 he's had amnesia and he's become a different person. His mother and father fight often and then his mother tests him thinking "That's not my Ritsuka, Give me my Ritsuka back." And she beats up the "Imposter" in her son's "former" body. Ritsuka goes to a new school and befriends Hawatari Yuiko and then after his first day a mysterious man who claims to have known Ritsuka's brother meets him named Soubi. Soubi is actually Seimei's Fighter and before Seimei died he ordered Soubi to take care of Ritsuka. Ritsuka's real name is Loveless and he and Soubi go off to defeat the Seven Moons (Septimal Moon a school for Fighters owned by a group of seven) who killed Seimei as Fighter and Sacrifice. even though Soubi was ordered to care for Ritsuka, is his feelings more then just an order?
