Old vs. The New
Posted Jul 14, 2007 at 9:04 AM
Recently Miyavi has undergone yet another change in style. He's changed everything, from his hair, to his music to his style of clothing. Personally, I don't like the new Miyavi. The songs are okay, and are catchy but I don't like them as much as his older stuff like, let's say "Pop is Dead" or "Jibun Kakumei" Thats the Meevers that I feel in love with. Now his music is kinda, ehh, trying to be in and stuff. His last CD "Miyaviuta ~dokusou~ " was really good, I enjoyed all the songs on there. But the singles that he's been coming out with don't really please me. I know as a fan I should accept that he's changing all the time, but I just don't like it.
How about you? Which Miyavi do you like better?

I like the "new" Miyavi just as much as I like the "old" Miyavi. Yeah, the music is different, but I love it! His hair kinda freaked me out at first, but I got use to it. And I don't think his music is trying to be in...Cuz when was the last time you heard music like that??? I never heard anything like it before >_I also think dokusou was a great CD... And all his other CDs were good too. So for me, its really hard to pick between the Meeverses ^__^

So far I have only heard the one song so I really can't say.All Artists have to change and grow here and there or they would get really boring.I don't like his new look too much.It reminds me of an old 1980's/1990's group a little too much.I do prefer the old Miyavi but that really isn't fair to him.I will wait and see what happens next.

I sort of agree I DESPISE his new clothing and hair style...he looks ugly, which he isn't, and like a zombie, too. But...I LOVE his new song style, it's still unique but his voice sound better than ever in them and they're catchy and fun.I really do hope he at least changes his hair~! I liked it alot better in Jibun Kakumei and Kekkonshiki no Uta...
