Kim Bum
Kim Bum (born Kim Sang-bum on July 7, 1989) is a South Korean actor who has appeared in numerous Korean television series and dramas such as Unstoppable High Kick and East of Eden. He has most notably played the role of So Yi-jung on popular drama Boys Over Flowers.

Ga Eul is Jan Di's best friend since kindergarten. Ga Eul starts developing romantic feelings for Yi Jung after he helps her get over her boyfriend who just played with her and took her on a fake date to help set Jun Pyo and Jan Di back up again. At first, it's obvious that Yi Jung only thinks of her as a good friend when he says he doesn't like girls that are "nice, idiotic, or involved with his friend". Ever since Ga Eul helps him through his self-destruction, Yi Jung finds out that Ga Eul, not Eun Jae has always been by his side. He eventually shows some feelings towards her, especially when he promises to visit her first by the time he comes back from Sweden.
Kim So-eun earns praise for double duty
Actress Kim So-eun is currently pulling double duty with roles in two different KBS productions: On Mondays and Tuesdays, she’s the sassy best friend in the trendy drama Boys Before Flowers, and on weekends she plays the childhood counterpart to Chae Shi-ra’s grown-up warrior leader in historical series Empress Cheon-chu.
The latter has given her the nickname “Little Chae Shi-ra,” which is pretty high praise for a rookie actress given Chae’s respected veteran status. Kim’s performances have been well-received and, following her first appearance on Empress Cheon-chu, Kim’s name shot to the top of online searches.
On an entertainment program on the 17th, Kim said, “At first it didn’t seem real. Thank you so much for supporting me… I don’t even have much experience acting, and I hardly feel like I deserve to be called ‘Little Chae Shi-ra.’” She did, however, spent months training in action school for her role, enabling her to perform her own horseback riding and falling stunts.

We’re assuming it’s to finally get a lead role in a drama.
If that’s the case, then dream accomplished because Kim Bum has been cast as the male lead for the new ‘SBS’ drama, ‘Dream’.
Don’t expect to see the sweet playboy image he portrayed in the ‘Boys over Flower’ drama because this time he’s going to be the tough “fighter”. Reportedly, Kim Bum chose to star in ‘Dream’ in order to drop the ‘So Yi-jung’ image that the ‘BOF’ drama.
‘Dream’ will be a sports drama about a K-1 athlete (Kim Bum) who is released from a reformatory facility and a sports agent (Joo Jin-mo) who work together to overcome hardships and their road to success. Currently, there is word that Son Dam-bi will also star in the drama as Kim Bum’s love interest and daughter of the K-1 gym director but nothing has been confirmed.
‘Dream’ is scheduled to air after the current Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Ja Myung-go’.
Yoo and Kim team up to solve a real-time murder mystery
Wow, Yoo Seung-ho sure is keeping busy lately. First he has the war movie with Kim Bum and Seung-ri, 71, as well as the currently filming Busan, as well as a role playing the younger counterpart to the king character in upcoming historical drama Queen Seon-deok.
Now, he teams with Boys Before Flowers and Empress Cheon-chu’s Kim So-eun in 4교시추리영역, which translates loosely to “Fourth Period Murder Mystery.” The plot unfolds in “real time” in a high school, and when a murder occurs, Kim So-eun sets out to Nancy Drew her way to finding the culprit; Yoo Seung-ho plays a tough, rebellious type.
Directing is Shin Dong-yeob (not the comedian), who wrote and directed the movie 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant. The movie is set to begin filming this month in time for an August release.
Anyone wonder if this’ll be anything like Kim Bum’s Bloody Midterms? The movie sounds pretty standard but for the “real time” aspect, which is a film device I think can be compelling when used right. (Bad abuse of real time: 24 — ain’t no way anyone can drive across Los Angeles in 10 minutes, not even Jack Bauer.)
