Sabah is a Malaysian state located on the northern portion of the island of Borneo.
Its state capital is
Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as
Jesselton.

Mount Kinabalu The mountain is the fourth tallest in Southeast Asia. Mount Kinabalu is well-known worldwide for its tremendous botanical and biological species biodiversity, with high levels of endemism. The parasitic Rafflesia plant, which has the largest single flower in the world, is also found at here. The main peak of the mountain can be relatively easily climbed by a person with a good physical condition, and requires no mountaineering equipment.

Kinabalu National Park is blessed with astonishing variety of flora and fauna. Its is home to a multitude of endemic animal species, including the Kinabalu Giant Red Leech and Kinabalu Giant Earthworm. It is near Mount Kinabalu which the higest moutain in Malaysia.

Tanjung Simpang Mengayau also known as the Northernmost tip of Borneo, is located in the district of Kudat. Visitors can stand in the Tip of Borneo and feel the relaxable sea breeze!

Sipadan Island is the only oceanic island in Malaysia. It is located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific basin, the centre of one of the richest marine habitats in the world. More than 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species have been classified in this ecosystem.

Lankayan Island small paradise island, with stretches of white sandy beaches, swaying casuarinas pines and beautiful sunsets. Lankayan Island is also one of the hottest diving destination on the map today: its dive sites - all just a few minutes away - boast unbelievably colorful macro fauna, fascinating wrecks and in season from March to May, regular sightings of gigantic and harmless whale sharks, the " dream date " of every diver in the world.
