Kingdom Hearts Coded

coded

Part of the 3 new installments of the Kingdom Hearts series,
focusing on Sora and Jimminy Cricket, this game has been consider Chain
Of Memories 2 since the style of the gameplay and the story, this game
assembles Sora in his old clothes, which it might be or after Kingdom
Hearts 1 or before Kingdom Hearts 1. The worlds we see in this game are
Traverse Town and Destiny Islands. Disney characters in this game are
Mickey and Jimminy Cricket. This trailer will explain better the game.

Trailer Description:

When the video begins, we are introduced with a series of images,
followed by the words “Kingdom Hearts: New Concepts and Game Titles.”
Right after this, the ending to Kingdom Hearts 2 plays, followed by the
phrases “The secret ending has been dealt with, and the worlds extend
once again” and “flow”.

The screen fades back in to Jiminy Cricket and the phrase “Kingdom
Hearts: Chain of Memories”. He is peering into his journal, noticing a
phrase he cannot remember writing. It reads “You need to return, to
heal the wounds”. This phrase seems to alert Jiminy in some way, as he
runs off to report the finding to King Mickey. The king is startled by
the discovery, but only replies with “Only he is the one who can solve
it.”

We fade in and out to Sora standing on the beach at Destiny Islands.
He is wearing his Kingdom Hearts 1 style clothing, but he is only shown
as computer data being transmitted.

When the image of Sora dissapears, a battle scene commences. As Sora
is movning blocks around to finsish a puzzle game, heartless are
attacking from all angles. The gameplay mecahnics seem very odd. After
the puzzle is finished, a command called “Debugging” appears on the
screen. After being activated, Sora moves extremely quickly and then
vanishes.

The last scene includes Sora aned Mickey in Traverse Town. Mickey
says to no one in particular “I was here on that day.” and “Let’s speak
truly”.

The new installement of the Kingdom Hearts series for the PSP,
explaining the deep past of Kingdom Hearts, we are introduced by 3
characters, Ven, Terra and Aqua, Ven has a relation with Sora, Ven
means air, as Sora means wind, which are the same; Aqua means water,
and Kairi means ocean, which leads the same to water; Terra means
earth, as Riku has some relation with earth. The major playable
character is Terra, seen in the scans. In the game, the world Hollow
Bastion or better known as Radiant Garden will explain himself more.
Disney characters will make an appereance here as well. The old man is
an older version of Xehanort, the game itslef will show the gamers the
Real Keyblade Master, as Tetsuya Nomura (Director) well explained on
his interview.

Trailer Descryption:

Scenes of the ending of Kingdom Hearts 1 flash by on the screen, and
two phrases are seen clearly onscreen. One reads “Deep Past” and the
other “Shut-Eyes gives birth to the concealed fate.”

We are then confronted by a young boy who looks like Roxas
conversing with another young boy with black hair. Their surroundings
seem to resemble Hallow Bastion (Radiant Garden). The name “Ven” is
thrown outward, referring to the boy who looks like Roxas.

The scene change various times before stopping at an iamge of the
Old Man from the KH2FM+ secret ending. He is called “Master Xehanort”
by Terra. Soon after, Terra summons his keyblade and the screen chandes.

Various worlds are shown, and one of which is familiar to us all.
“Olympus Colliseum” is making another comeback, followed by a brand new
world, that of which resembles Sleeping Beauty.

The video then changes back to Terra battling against a dark figure,
whom you can tell is male. This is the same man from the Secretn Ending
of KH2FM+, the one who the Old Man creates. Terra is able to forceably
get the man’s helmet off, but his face is concealed.

King Mickey is shown summoning kis keyblde, and then the scene
changes very quicly to Terra on a beach. He seems to be watching two
boys play in the ocen. After he rests his weapon into the ground, the
two boys he was watching are clearer and they look like Sora and Riku.
Soon after, Terra says “Please don’t depend on me, just erase me…

This
is nothing new, but there’s been no news for a while now; so I compiled
this together from the Tokyo Game Show to use on the forum. I’m sure
you know all of this already. I’ll edit this tomorrow as there’s still
a lot more that should be added.

KINGDOM HEARTS NEWS AT THE TOKYO GAME SHOW~

The post month has been abundant with Kingdom Hearts news, what with
the highly anticipated Tokyo Game Show 2007 taking place. There were
quite a lot of interesting announcements given regarding the future of
Kingdom Hearts. Here are the main stories which have got people talking:

NOT ONE GAME… BUT THREE~

Prior to the Tokyo Game Show this year, there were a lot of Kingdom
Hearts fans hopeful that Square-Enix would announce a continuation of
the popular series - a Kingdom Hearts 3 for the next-gen - but they had
bigger plans for us.

Tetsuya Nomura had earlier given an interview stating that Kingdom
Hearts fans should expect to see a side-story on the DS, PSP or mobile
phones, giving the option of three characters and left us to guess what
would happen and debate about which would be the better game to play –
well, we needn’t have bothered because Nomura planned on releasing all
three! I don’t think many people anticipated him meaning all three, but
it was a nice – if not surprising – announcement. Square-Enix showcased
off three trailers of these games, unfortunately in a private
screening. All we had to go by were written up descriptions of the
trailers, and here they are along with all of the other important
information we have already.

BIRTH BY SLEEP~

Birth By Sleep

WHAT DO WE ALREADY KNOW?

☆ The unseen trailer~

Here is a description of the Birth by Sleep trailer:

Scenes of the ending of Kingdom Hearts 1 flash by on the screen, and
two phrases are seen clearly onscreen. One reads “Deep Past” and the
other “Shut-Eyes gives birth to the concealed fate.”

We are then confronted by a young boy who looks like Roxas

The scene change various times before stopping at an iamge of the
Old Man from the KH2FM+ secret ending. He is called “Master Xehanort”
by Terra. Soon after, Terra summons his keyblade and the screen changes.

Various worlds are shown, and one of which is familiar to us all.
“Olympus Colliseum” is making another comeback, followed by a brand new

Soon after, Terra says “Please don’t depend on me, just erase me…
friend.”

The phrase “Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep” arises.

High quality scans of Birth by Sleep can be found in the following links:

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m274/bekkiglittz/Pictures/43613330.jpg

☆ The plot

Taking place in the past, this game will focus on the scenes we have
already witnessed from the secret endings found in Kingdom Hearts II
and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+. Three apprentices go in search of
their missing master.

☆ The characters~

Terra - Already seen previously in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix as a
boss, he is now one of the three playable characters you can control in
a choice of three different scenarios.

Master Xehanort - A mysterious old Keyblade Master, also resembles
Xehanort’s Heartless a lot, but I wonder if this means anything?

Aqua - Shares a connection with Ven, although we do not know what
kind of relationship they have. So far, her role in this game is
undefined, as she hasn’t been mentioned a lot.

Ven - His true identity will be explored in Birth by Sleep.

☆ The confirmed worlds

So far, there have been a few new worlds confirmed - and some not-so-new. Here is the full list so far:

• Sleeping Beauty

• Olympus Coliseum

• Cinderella

• Hollow Bastion

• Destiny Islands

• Sunset Horizons (A fan-name as far as I’m aware)

☆ The console~

Birth by Sleep will be released for the PSP.

☆ The release date~

So far, unknown. All we know is that this game has been planned to be released last out of the three games.

☆ The timeline~

This game is set before the events of Kingdom Hearts 1.

☆ The gameplay~

An improved version of the deck system used in CoM will be used in
Birth by Sleep. However, instead of cards, the user will choose from
commands, which will be implemented into their menu.

358/2 Days~

358/2 days

WHAT DO WE ALREADY KNOW?

☆ The unseen trailer~

Here is a description of the 358/2 Days Trailer:

We are introduced with the scene where Kingdom Hearts: Chain of
Memories had came to an end, and are then confronted with the phrase
“The other side attached to Sora still sleeps”, along with “The mind
comes back whenever they touch.”

The video then focuses upon Roxas and Axel, sitting atop the clock
tower in Twilight Town. This seems to be the same scene from Kingdom
Hearts 2 Final Mix+. Soon after, the video shows Roxas being invited
into Organization XIII. He is being greeted by all, and introduces
himself, and they do the same to him. Then the scene fades into Roxas
actually joining the Organization.

Following this is a short clip of Mickey talking about Axel, and
Saix near Roxas. Roxas is shown pulling out both of his keyblades, and
it moves into gameplay. The gameplay confirms indifenatley that you may
play with Roxas, Axel, Saix and Xigbar.

Xemnas then mentions something very interesting. He explains that a
14th member has joined their Organization, and that this member is
female. This scene is quickly followed by the title of the game:
“Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days” and a whsipering Roxas saying “I will
disappear from this world in 151 days”

☆ The scans~

High quality scans of 358/2 Days can be found in the following links:

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m274/bekkiglittz/Pictures/5b0cdb65.jpg

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m274/bekkiglittz/Pictures/642a0e82.jpg

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m274/bekkiglittz/Pictures/5f333379.jpg

☆ The characters~

Every Organisation 13 character WILL be playable, according to
Tetsuya Nomura. We also know that a 14th member will be introduced - a
female member - but nothing is known about her yet, except that she
ISN’T Naminé and that she wasn’t present in Kingdom Hearts 2.

☆ The confirmed worlds

Not many worlds have been confirmed so far, but Wonderland is making a return.

• The World That Never Was

• Twilight Town

• Wonderland

☆ The console~

358/2 Days will be released for the DS

☆ The release date~

So far, unknown. All we know is that this game has been planned to be released first out of the three games.

☆ The timeline~

This game takes place from Roxas’ birth, (in KH1), his entrance and
time in the Organisation, into the events of CoM, and when he leaves to
find more about himself and his TRUE self, and then eventually, when he
gets taken to the digitised Twilight Town.

☆ The gameplay~

There will be single and multiplayer options in this game, and
Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that there is a bonus to using both modes:

“The character’s growth is shared between the two modes,”

Also during multiplayer mode, the bottom screen of the DS can be
used as a chat system, if you wish. Players will be able to communicate
with each other as they play the game; by drawing pictures on the
screen! Although not official yet, Nomura and his team are planning to
add some further plans to this feature.

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

When Sora enters the fifth floor of Castle Oblivion, he mentions that besides Riku
and Kairi, there was another child (Naminé) who used to play with them
until she disappeared one day. Despite the fact Sora "remembers" Naminé
as a close friend from Destiny Islands, she tells Sora that, before
Castle Oblivion, they had never met. She also mentions that she is
Kairi's shadow, which is why even when she replaces Kairi with herself
in Sora's memory, Sora will still be able to recall Kairi.

Naminé began to not only place herself in Sora's memories, but
removed Kairi from them altogether. She also performed the same process
on the Riku Replica at Vexen's request. Naminé almost completes her task of replacing Kairi with herself until Axel allows her to leave his sight. Naminé manages to set Sora free from forgetting about Kairi and reveals herself to him at last.

While Sora vaguely recalls the most important person to him, he
cannot identify her (Kairi) though he now knows she is not Naminé.
Naminé, wishing to right her wrongs and happy at least that Sora still
wishes to protect her, promises to restore his memories once he defeats
Marluxia, who is waiting for Sora on the 13th floor of Castle Oblivion.

Once Marluxia is defeated, Naminé has Sora, Donald, and Goofy step
into devices that will rearrange the chains of their memories, but
break the ones that she created. As a result, Sora's memories of Naminé
will be erased as he begins to recall Kairi and the rest of his
friends. However, Sora promises that in his heart, Naminé will still be
there and he will find her again.

Since then, Naminé has been carefully caring for Sora and his
friends and ensuring their true memories are restored. She also helps
save Riku in Reverse/Rebirth from Zexion
by taking on Kairi's appearance to convince Riku not to refuse the
darkness within his heart while drowning in light. When they meet in
person, she offers to lock away the darkness of his heart so that it
can never hurt him again, but he refuses the offer, opting to battle
the darkness within him rather than run from it. Naminé then suggests
that Riku made the correct decision, and confirms his suspicion that
she was the one guiding him.

[edit] Kingdom Hearts II

[Naminé and Roxas appear to be of a similar nature, not quite supposed to exist, yet still existing because of someone else. While Roxas is the Nobody
of Sora, Naminé is actually a "special Nobody" born from Kairi's heart
when it left Sora's body. As Kairi had no darkness in her heart, her
heart hid within Sora's body instead of becoming a Heartless when
Destiny Islands was consumed by Darkness. When Sora impaled himself
with the dark Keyblade, his body and soul were used to create not only
Roxas, but Naminé as well. As a result of this, she has none of Kairi's
memories. Naminé's special birth in conjunction with the fact that
Kairi's heart had been in direct contact with Sora's is why, DiZ
states, that Naminé's special powers could only affect the memories of
Sora and those whose hearts are connected to his, which was why she was
used by the Organization. DiZ had her protect Sora in his deep sleep
while restoring Sora's memories, which affected Roxas.

Despite DiZ's orders, Naminé visits Roxas in Twilight Town. She
appears to him several times, often before he is attacked by Nobodies,
acting somewhat as a guide to him. It is Naminé who tells Roxas of his
true nature as a Nobody. When he is told that he will disappear, Naminé
quickly assures him that "he'll be whole". As DiZ takes her away, she
tells him that they will meet again, even if they do not recognize each
other.

Riku was instructed by DiZ to destroy Naminé since he has no more need of her. However, as seen in KH2 Final Mix, Riku (in the guise of Xehanort's
Heartless) decided to let her go with Axel to repay the favor to her
for Castle Oblivion. She is not seen again until near the end of the
game. She frees Kairi and Pluto from imprisonment and they attempt to
escape from the Organization's stronghold. They encounter Saïx,
but, fortunately, are saved by Riku who eventually gives Kairi a
keyblade however she only uses it once in the game it is unknown what
happened to it.

Naminé gives up her own existence as an independent entity and fuses
with Kairi to complete her, just as Roxas had with Sora in the
beginning of the game. However, it is said in her and Roxas's
conversation that they will not fade, but rather be whole and live on
through Sora and Kairi, thus proving that not all Nobodies are destined
to fade into darkness. This is further signified in the ending, as we
see Roxas and Naminé one more time, smiling through their counterparts
at each other when they return to the Islands complete.

Sora (ソラ, Sora?) is the protagonist of the Kingdom Hearts role-playing video game
series. He is an upbeat and cheerful teenager and though he may seem
simple-minded and naïve at times, he possesses an unwavering heart and
his strong sense of justice is extraordinary. At times, he is impulsive
and quick to anger, but he is always sincere about what he says and
does. He comes from Destiny Islands and is best friends with Riku and Kairi. Sora is derived from the Japanese word for sky (空, sora?), in comparison with sea (海, kai?) and land (陸, riku?).

In the story of Kingdom Hearts, Sora's being splits in two, producing Roxas (ロクサス, Rokusasu?), a Nobody. This "Nobody" plays part in Kingdom Hearts II.

Sora is voiced by Haley Joel Osment in the English versions of the Kingdom Hearts video games and by Miyu Irino in the Japanese versions.

Kairi (カイリ, Kairi?) is the female lead in the Kingdom Hearts series of videogames. She is voiced by Hayden Panettiere in the English versions of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II and by Risa Uchida in the Japanese versions. Kairi is derived from the Japanese word for sea (海, kai?), in comparison with land (陸, riku?) and sky (空, sora?).

Riku (リク, Riku?) is a fictional character from the Kingdom Hearts series. He comes from Destiny Islands and is the best friend of Sora, and Kairi. Riku is derived from the Japanese readings of the character for land (陸, riku?), in comparison with sea (海, kai?) and sky (空, sora?). He is voiced by actor David Gallagher for the English versions of the Kingdom Hearts games and by Mamoru Miyano in the Japanese versions.

XIII. Roxas

No. 13 in the Organization: Roxas, the Key of Destiny.

No. 13 in the Organization: Roxas, the Key of Destiny.

The youngest and newest member of the Organization, Roxas, the "Key of Destiny" (『めぐりあう鍵』ロクサス, "Meguriau Kagi" Rokusasu?), was "born" in Twilight Town, where he was found and recruited by Xemnas. His original self is Sora. He is voiced by Jesse McCartney in the English version of Kingdom Hearts II and Koki Uchiyama in the Japanese version.

When pre-release Kingdom Hearts II screenshots and video
showed this character without an Organization coat, he was featured
prominently, emphasizing his importance to the future game's plot. He
is referred to as Misterious Boy [sic] (謎の少年, Nazo no Shōnen?) in Kingdom Hearts Series α Ultimania ~Introduction of Kingdom Hearts II~.[16] In battle, he uses the "Oathkeeper" and "Oblivion" Keyblades, which represent Sora's memories of Kairi and Riku[17], as well as the power of light[3]. While his memories are missing, he only uses the "Kingdom Key" form of the Keyblade.

Roxas out of his Organization uniform.

Roxas out of his Organization uniform.

Unlike the other Organization members, Roxas lacks memories of his
previous life, due to the short time Sora had spent as a Heartless.
During Roxas's time in the Organization, he and Axel became friends,
but Roxas leaves to find answers as to why he possesses the Keyblade.
He is confronted by Riku, who defeats Roxas and takes him to DiZ. DiZ
places Roxas in a virtual
Twilight Town created within Sora's memories, leaving him without any
memory of the Organization and with a fabricated identity to throw them
off. As part of Naminé restoring Sora's memories, Roxas is affected by
seeing his other self's memories in dreams.

Roxas lives an otherwise normal life in "Twilight Town" until Axel
infiltrates it to save him. Despite Axel's attempts to stop him and
Roxas gaining back his memories of the Organization, Roxas merges with
Sora early in the game, which also causes some of Roxas' memories to
influence Sora. Roxas appears twice more in the World That Never Was.
The first is a battle with Sora, where Roxas's Samurai Nobodies[3]
hold off Goofy and Donald while Roxas fights Sora in a battle that
Donald and Goofy deny seeing. This battle, shown only as a cut scene,
is never fully explained. Roxas appears once again with Naminé before
Kairi enters the corridor of darkness back to Destiny Islands. He and
Naminé imply that they will live on within Sora and Kairi as both a
part of them and as individuals, as seen in the ending cinematic when
they smile at each other through their other selves.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Sora's battle with Roxas is
made playable, and a cut scene is added that shows Xemnas explaining
that Axel's death triggered the reappearance of Roxas. In Another Report, it is implied that Roxas, under orders, was responsible for Maleficent's revival.

Naminé (ナミネ, Namine?) is a character from the video games Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. Naminé's name contains "nami" (波, "nami"?), a Japanese word meaning "ocean wave", likely a reference to Kairi's name, which contains "kai" (海, "kai"? , also read as "umi"), for "ocean".

A mysterious young girl, Naminé has the ability to change memories
of those in relation to Sora by rearranging them and creating new links
between them. Her ability derives from her unique birth. Because of her
unusual powers, both DiZ, agents of the Organization and herself refer to Naminé as a witch. She seems to enjoy drawing.

She is forced by Marluxia to rearrange Sora's memories after he loses them upon entering Castle Oblivion. Being passive and timid, she takes the abuse Marluxia and Larxene
heap upon her. After meeting Sora, Naminé appears to become less timid
and afraid, seeming more willing to act upon what she believes is right.

Naminé is voiced by Brittany Snow in the English version of Kingdom Hearts II and Iku Nakahara in the Japanese version.
