Gerald Edward Levert - b. July 13, 1966 - d. November 11, 2006. To me one of the greatest soul R&B artist. The man sang with soul When he sang, his music touched you right down to the core, and he sang it made you feel like he was singing the song just for you. I recall when he first came on the scene with the group Levert, I had all the taps (CDs were not the thing back then) and I believe I played and rewinded certain songs over and over again. Then he has his first solo album I played and played that tape I had to get a new one that is how worn it got. But this brother could sang and what a show man he was you was totally entertained after seeing him. He may be gone but his music lives on forever.
