About

Description
Beginning his stand-up comedy career at the age of 19, and landing bit parts in less-than-notable films (“House Party 3,” “The Walking Dead”), Bernie Mac stayed under the Hollywood radar for most of the 1980s and 90s. After landing a recurring role on the TV show “Moesha” and gaining larger roles in “How to be a Player” (1997) and Eddie Murphy’s “Life” (1999), Bernie Mac finally hit the big time as one of Spike Lee’s “Original Kings of Comedy” in 2000. While roles in “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” and “Ocean’s 11” have brought him further notoriety, “The Bernie Mac Show” has been most instrumental in making Mac a household name.
