Shiny Toy Guns is an Indie band based in Shawnee, Oklahoma, formed in 2002. They have released three versions of their studio album We Are Pilots.

The band was founded in 2002 by bassist and keyboardist Jeremy Dawson and vocalist and guitarist Chad Petree. Both had known each other for years growing up in Shawnee, Oklahoma and worked together on previous music projects such as Cloud2Ground and Slyder. After these projects, they went underground for a couple of years but continued making music together until enlisting both vocalist Carah Faye Charnow and drummer Mikey Martin in 2004 in Los Angeles, California.

Ursula Vari was the first female vocalist for the band Shiny Toy Guns. Ursula's vocals were featured in the bands early CD track releases. Ursula Vari fronted the band in 2002/2003 and early 2004, appearing at live gigs and in some early music videos. Ursula Vari's backing vocals were used in the October 2006 We Are Pilots v3 Universal/Motown Records release of 'We Are Pilots' which most likely were used in the final mix from earlier recording sessions. The band fired Vari (for reasons unknown) and hired Carah Faye Charnow in 2004 as their new female leader singer. Vari is credited with having had a major influence in developing and creating Shiny Toy Guns' song lyrics and vocal interpretations of the bands' songs during her tenure. Ursula Vari is from Romania and currently works as a yoga instructor in Los Angeles and occasional actress with credited appearances in several low budget independent films.

Shiny Toy Guns gained popularity in California as well as through their MySpace page. In January 2005, they released their first album We Are Pilots through record company Stormwest International. They began touring across America that summer in support of their album. They re-recorded and re-released We Are Pilots through record company Sidecho in November 2005, with a revised track list. They continued to tour extensively, and in June 2006 they signed with Universal Records and released a finalized copy of We Are Pilots on October 17, 2006.

Their song "You Are the One" has its roots in Jeremy Dawson's trance song "Neo", that was put out under the Slyder moniker. This song was used in the popular video game Grand Theft Auto III

On October 29, 2007 Shiny Toy Guns (using the alias "The Shinys") appeared on the children's television series Yo Gabba Gabba!.

On December 6, 2007, We Are Pilots received a Grammy Award nomination in the category of Best Electronic/Dance Album, but lost to The Chemical Brothers.

Seraphim(六翼天使) is a Taiwanese Symphonic/Power metal band.

Formed in 2001 in the City of Taipei, Taiwan, they recorded their first song "Love Hate" for a demo weeks later, gaining notice and eventually a contract from Magnum Music (Taiwan) in April. Within a month they recorded their first album The Soul That Never Dies (不死魂), which was released in August.

Following the album's release they did a few shows to help promote it, and by November they started writing new material for a second album. In January 2002 they were invited to perform at the Kung-Ming music festival in China. Soon afterwards they began recording the second album, The Equal Spirit (平等精靈). Their debut album also gained a European release through the independent label Arise.

The second album was released in Taiwan on the 10th of September 2002.

After doing one shows to promote the album guitarist Dan Chang left the band, and was replaced by Lucas Huang in December. An English version of The Equal Spirit was released on January 2003, and after a European release they participated in Taiwan's Midsummer Night Tour later that year. They released the Chinese Edition of Ai (愛), their third album, by February.

Quinn Weng replaced Vocalist Pay Lee on March 14th, 2004. By that time they were invited to several more festivals for the summer for their first world tour, including Savage Metal Fest in Russia, Dong open air in Germany, Metal Kingdom in Japan, Asian Rock Festival in Seoul, South Korea, and others around Taiwan & China. On July 2nd they released Ai in Europe.

By June 2005 they had new drummer Van Shaw, and performed with a popular German Power metal band Edguy in Taipei & Hong Kong by March 2006. At the same year, Quinn Weng was Featured as a guest on Beto Vázquez Infinity's Flying Towards the New Horizon album. By August 2007, they spread their second world tour in whole Europe.

They plan to release their fourth album, Rising (日出東方). It will be the first to feature vocalist Quinn Weng.

In This Moment is an American metalcore band formed in 2005. Their first album entitled Beautiful Tragedy was released on March 20th, 2007 on Century Media Records. The band’s sound falls on the melodic side of the metalcore spectrum, with vocalist Maria Brink utilizing both screams and a good deal of clean, emotive singing. They performed on the 2007 Ozzfest tour, stage two.

In 2005, singer Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth met through some common friends. After becoming acquainted they found there was much in common between the two and began writing songs. Soon thereafter they enlisted the help of Los Angeles drummer Jeff Fabb. By mid-2005, the lineup included Brink, Howorth, Fabb, guitarist Blake Bunzell, and bassist Josh Newell. The band recorded demos and posted them on Myspace, where they generated a large internet following. During the summer of 2005, Newell departed from the band to focus on his other project, Ketaset, as well as his sound engineering work. A close friend of the band named Pascual Romero (of Tinhorn) took over bass duties for a short time before Jessy Landry was given the position, and the band found its permanent lineup. By the end of the year, In This Moment had generated such a large following due to diligent internet marketing and “do-it-yourself” touring, they sparked an interest from Century Media Records. A worldwide record deal followed.

Line-up
Maria Brink - Vocals
Jesse Landry - Bass
Chris Howorth - Guitar
Blake Bunzel - Guitar
Jeff Fabb - Drums

Once upon an awkward adolescence, there was a girl that tripped often and spoke very little, a boy who ate too much junk food, but spoke a lot, and his identical twin that hit things and spoke even more. Then along came a pianist with very wiggly fingers and a baseball bat. Hence…the musical misadventures unfolded.

It all started with “The Fratellis,” Stolen Babies’ original 12+ member group. Horns blared, oversized dolls jumped out of toy boxes, squabbles were had, babies were stolen, turned into flies and fed to giant spiders. Eventually, the blundering theatrics came to an end, but the four stuck together.

More misadventure, more junk food…

Taking their name from a song/skit from the early days, Stolen Babies have been described as playing prog-pop-cabaret-thrash-quirky-goth-rock. Mostly though, they would just like to think that their songs are fun to dance and fall down to.

It’s nearly impossible to talk about Stolen Babies without mentioning their ongoing collaboration with graphic novelist extraordinaire Crab Scrambly. His artwork has graced their early releases, website and merch. More notably you can see Crab’s original paintings that provide the otherworldly landscapes to Stolen Babies video “Push Button,” and of course the artwork for the bands debut full length album “There Be Squabbles Ahead,” which was recorded and produced by Dan Rathbun of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.Which now brings Stolen Babies to…the beginning of The End.

STOLEN BABIES are:
Dominique Persi - lead vocals, face paint keeping, accordion sprinkling
Rani Sharone - electric and upright bass swapping, mental guitar playing, programming, sampling, vocals
Ben Rico - multiple keyboard reaching, beating, vocals
Gil Sharone - aggressive drumming

Kittie is an all-female alternative metal band from London, Ontario, Canada. The band rose to success in 1999 when the track 'Brackish' from their debut album Spit became a hit single. The band also supported Slipknot during the early 2000’s on Slipknot’s United Kingdom tour heightening the band’s popularity.

As of 2008, Kittie consists of Morgan Lander (vocals, guitars), Mercedes Lander (vocals, piano, drums), Tara McLeod (guitars), and Ivy Vujic (bass).

Kittie was formed in 1996, when Mercedes Lander and Fallon Bowman met in a high school gymnastics class. The lead singer, Morgan Lander, is sister to Mercedes. Their original bassist was Tanya Candler, who was forced to leave the band in the winter of 1999 due to health problems. She was replaced with Talena Atfield. In 2001, Fallon Bowman left Kittie without citing any official reasons, though it was alleged that it was due to the rest of the bands discomfort with Fallon’s obsession with the Columbine Killings (which, of course, was not true). In reality, Fallon had been attempting to steer the band’s musical direction away from what the remaining members were comfortable with and as a result was having issues with the band’s management. Fallon eventually started a new project called Amphibious Assault. No replacement for Fallon was made at this time. The band’s guitar technician, Jeff Phillips, filled the vacant spot during tours, but he was never officially made a member.

Bassist Talena Atfield left in 2002 and was the subject of much controversy for quite some time. She issued a statement saying the band had given her an ultimatum, although the validity of this is unknown. She was replaced by Jennifer Arroyo.

In 2004 they added a fourth member, the second guitarist Lisa Marx, and Jeff Phillips went full time to his side project Thine Eyes Bleed.

Until March 2005 they were signed to Artemis Records but parted ways due to a proposed amendment to the recording budget for the pending 4th Kittie album. Problems between the group and record label had been rumored for a long time. The only official sign of these problems was a settlement out of court for unpaid royalties in March 2004.

On March 23, 2005, Morgan Lander made a post indicating that both Marx and Arroyo had left the band. Arroyo’s split was amicable while Marx’s was a surprise. Financial reasons were cited as well as, in the case of Arroyo, the desire to work outside of Kittie full time. Arroyo joined with Billy Graziadei of Biohazard, to form Suicide City.

In 2005 Kittie added 2 new members: Tara McLeod, guitar; and Trish Doan, bass. Most fans have stated that this is Kittie’s tightest and most musically talented lineup yet.

In 2006, vocalist Morgan Lander provided vocals for the song It Turns to Rust on Canadian metal band Kataklysm’s album, In the Arms of Devastation.

In May 2006 Kittie announced a joint venture to create their own record label, X of Infamy Records which will include major label distribution by EMI records. Their 4th studio album is entitled Funeral For Yesterday and was released on February 20, 2007.

On March 4, 2008 Kittie announced the departure of bassist Trish Doan due to an eating disorder. Doan had been diagnosed with the eating disorder Anorexia nervosa, which she developed during the recording of Funeral For Yesterday. Doan has been battling the disease for nearly two years. She was replaced by Ivy Vujic.
