30 second limit will be a huge drawback

I listen  to my music using imeem and I was thinking of writing an application until I read the basic criteria developers should follow. If I have to expose my app to other users 30 sec would just act as a bait to your website and hardly any user experience.

As far as I am aware there is no special 30 second limit on the app.  If I understand how this is going to work in the future, once the apps can be used off site, then they will have a 30 second cap built in until the application is approved, in which case the rules will likely be the same as for any embedded music.

Khota,

Apps that are created on imeem.com get access to full length streams. There will be no 30s limitation for these apps.

However, apps that are created off of imeem.com will not have access to media playback. These apps can take advantage of the user and media metadata, but not media streaming itself.

I'll be updating to the docs to make this clearer.
