Can't listen to music any more
Posted May 07, 2008 at 11:21 PM
I've always been able to listen to music & playlists on imeem, until somewhat recently. I'm using a old version of Firefox (because I'm using an old computer XD, and a mac too.) but everything has always worked, up until... around month ago? At that time playlists stopped working. They would play one song and then stop. It would go to the next, but it would neither load nor play, and the volume would turn all the way down. Single songs still worked though, and refreshing the page would allow me to choose a new song from any given playlist.

However, yesterday (or possibly the day before) songs stopped working at all. Music would not play, no matter how many times I hit the button, or double-clicked the title.

Please help, and feel free to message me (or reply) for additional information.

I'm having the same problem as Daemon.
Like him, playlists stopped working for me a month ago and single songs stopped working for me today (videos still work though).
The strange thing is that playlists would still work at my friends house, even if I still used my laptop.
Maybe it's a problem with our internet service provider?
Idk.
I know Daemon personally and we live in the same city within a few miles of each other, so maybe it's just a local problem, I guess.

I have similar problem, I can't play anything in Firefox, it's 2.0.0.14 version, newer one would slow my computer down.

I turned my RefControl off and it works, maybe it could help anyone?

So i will change settings in RefControl for this page to Normal, thus sending the information that was expected to be sent.

Daemon,

Are you able to stream videos on imeem? Do you see the song loading in the music player? What type of Internet Connection do you have? What version of the Flash player do you have? In Firefox, please make sure you have disabled AdBlock Plus. Some users have downgraded to version 8.0.24 by going to http://www.oldapps.com/Macromedia_Flash_Player.htm and reported this issue has been resolved. Let us know if this makes a difference. If not, can you try using Internet Explorer?

I am having the same issue - is this a technical thing from the imeem site or my computer?  I can't get anything to work...... has anyone out there gotten this issue resolved?

I can't stream videos, the song does not load, a fairly good connection, and disabled adblock plus. I think flash is better than the version 7 required, because the song pops up- it just won't play. I can't downgrade due to using a Mac, and for the same reason Internet Explorer is not an option.

Thanks for helping/replying everyone!
