Hi all!

Honeyhoney will be opening for Augustana at the Sunset Strip Music Festival at The Roxy on Friday, September 11th. The doors are at 8:30. Hope to see you all there! It's going to be epic!

To friends and potential lovers of honeyhoney. Here is our week one tour log (as transcribed by el jefe).

Ben: This is an official road blog, because we are literally writing at the speed of 87 mph.

Suzanne: slow down Ben

Ben: ok grandma. So, the first three shows have been....

Suzanne: (interrupting) have been like a gentle lover that sometimes likes it rough

Ben: put that Suzanne interrupted me. We were joined in San Diego by Suzanne’s friend Kasey who through my shoe off of a six story balcony and almost got me arrested for indulging in anonymous contraband.

Suzanne: I would like to state that Ben needed a new pair of shoes anyway

Ben: These are my new shoes

Suzanne: well crap then. Can we change the subject yet? I would like to mention that I’m really quite proud of our new honeyhoney merchandise that is selling like futuristic hotcakes.

Ben: we are also happy to be joined by the queen of silverlake and the sixth beastie boy (wendy wang and mike g)

Suzanne: and ya don’t stop

Ben: so where are we going now, tucson?

Suzanne: I think so

Transcriber note: they are going to Scottsdale

Ben: So were not going to Tucson, huh?

Transcriber note: Tucson show is on Sunday night

Suzanne: I really miss Bruce Wayne, my cat

Ben: hopefully the Scottsdale crowd will be lubed and stretched by the time we get there

Suzanne: they are about to get sonically screwed like they have never been screwed before. What do we got so far, that might be a good blog?

Ben (picking nose): why don’t you go back to sleep.

Rah Rah Rah Friends and Lovers,

Last night, once again, the damn Steelers have won the Super Bowl... again.. For the second time... in three years... yay... great... I'm REALLY so happy for you Ben Roethlsberger. hooray...Santonio Holmes, that was a helluva 4th quarter catch... ( I still think it was all a sham, but you win... seriously)

Why so bitter Santo?? (you ask) What did the Steelers ever do to you??

I'm not bitter... I'm devastated... and it's not entirely the Steelers fault, however they are reigning rivals of my team, the Cleveland Browns... I'm not devasted over the Pittsburgh Steelers either. I won't give them that much credit... I'm devastated over my beloved Brownies...the little Super Bowl virgins who started off looking so great this year and then hit some kind of ugly, mid season pubescent stage, where their championship cherry just lost all hope of getting popped... they just couldn't find the hole and score...

It's amazing really. Being a Cleveland sports fan... I don't know how we do it. I mean, for the most part, the people are die hard. They show up. They paint their naked bodies in the dead of winter, they dress like saggy faced dogs and sit behind the goal line and yell crazy, crazy things and nearly every time ,they are left so utterly disappointed... and yet, they do it again and again and again.. and I stand with them... I will carry the torch for my Cleveland Brownies and Indians in the darkest of their hours.. That, my friends is true love. You think you have a great thing with your significant other?? You guys finish each other sentences and have great "chemistry." Well your heart strings don't hold a candle to the love Clevelanders have with their teams... bitches

Anyway... enough... I'M FINE!! really onward and upward! Go Indians! (and until we lose Lebron to Jay Z and other possible rappers that make him feel cool, Go Cavs!!)

On a positive note, Ben and I and the fabulous Wendy Wang played in San Diego this past Saturday and it was glorious. We had the opportunity to open up for James Morrison, who's vocal chords are like golden, smokey, marble race ways for sound to just come shooting out of and pummel you in the face with awesomeness. yea, he rocked it...
It was a really, really great crowd and I'm still really excited about how much fun we had. San Diego, you truly are classy...

Hope you are all feeling fine and nimble....

Love,

Lil Santo

Hey there party people of the cyberspace realm!

Today milestones have been carved out of the earth and history has been made this day by the inauguration of our dear President, Barack Obama. It is also the 24th anniversary of the day I was birthed... (Thanks Mom and Dad!!) And here I am... having mixed feelings of excitement for our first black president whom I'm a big fan of, and also of being a little insecure of turning the big 2.4.

and you say: WTF Santo! you're still in your god damn twenties! Quit yo jibber jabber

and I say: Nay! I can't quit my jibber jabber because it's my blog and I can type if I want to bitches.

No but seriously... It is so crazy to me that I'm 24 already. It feels like I was only 17 yesterday, anxious to turn 21 so I would have no further use for my fake I.D (aka. Virginia Stevenson from east New Jersey) .. I truly believe that once you're done with high school, your days go by faster and the weeks just throw you into months that whiz by like fastballs that you just can't put a bat to... I just remember when I was in school at Padua Franciscan High in Parma Ohio, each day seemed like a never ending saga of awkward walks down the hall, Spanish class being really fuckin hard, and never reaching my fullest potential in math class because it was right before detention and the boy that I liked was always in detention. god damn, those days were long...

And here I am... a blossoming young "adult," eager to fulfill my life long goals and develop into a sincere woman of wisdom who is also waiting for her A-cups to miraculously turn into B-cups.. (Time may have flown me far away from the boob coop, but I believe anything is possible, so don't knock on my pipe dream damnit)...

Anyway! my blog will be left short and sweet today as I have a bad ass birthday breakfast I am late for...

God Bless America and once again,, Mom and Dad....thanks for doin it!

Love,

Your friend Suzanne

Current Mood: fuzzy
To the Friends and Potential Lovers of honeyhoney,

I like to dick around. Last week I was dicking around on myspace and posted in our status that we we're auditioning mascots. Without beating it to death I want to stress that I posted this because I was dicking around, not because we were auditioning mascots. Life then intervened. Some dude sent in a picture of himself in what appears to be some sort of wizard-pimp costume and offered his services as our mascot. I'm a big believer in the phrase, " don't knock it till you rock it" so Suzanne and I have decided to make this dude our mascot of the week. As we are an equal opportunity institution we urge anyone else who is interested in being our, "mascot of a week thats not this week" to send in a picture and subject yourself to our harsh (but loving) judgement. We have also decided to see Wizard pimp's bet and raise him a tad in a soon to be released photo.

(If anyone knows how to post the actual picture in the blog let me know)

You: What the hell does that have to do with Ice and burning flames ben? Are you high?
Me: I'm glad you asked and yes. My competitive spirit had driven me to the realization that I want to beat Beyonce Knowles at something and my first opportunity has come in this VH1 top 20 bidness. Thanks to everyone who voted us from a lowly ice cube to a thermometer last week but now we've got our eyes set on the flame. Rock.

blog post "I Sold The Couch"
Posted in music on Jan 07, 2009 at 7:51 AM
To the friend's and potential lover's of honeyhoney,

Due to a hit and run lap top incident the previous blog I had intended to write today has been deleted... Boo-to the-freakin-hoo.. So I will do my very best to recapture the essence of the O.G. blog of 1-6-09 (R.I.P.)

After a pretty rockin holiday season (I think it's safe to say that I was drunk every day for the past 2 1/2 weeks... yay Christmas Ale!)... I now find myself fully motivated to re-enter the real life video game known as "honeyhoney"

While I was home in Cleveland, I spent some qt with the fam, ate a lot, practiced my instruments a lot and wrote new songs! Normally when I'm home I get distracted by Christmas parties and old high school flames, but this time I was consumed by the "rock"... and every free minute that I wasn't visiting my Grammy or stuffing my face or drinking Christmas Ale, I was working on new honeyhoney songs and trying to better myself as the stellar banjo player I aim to be... Skadeesh..

Now I'm back in LA.. sitting on the soon to be gone vintage couch, tappin out some fresh bloggage...

(Why sell the couch you ask??)

Answer: Needed more room for dance parties and Wii tennis

So as 2009 rolls itself out before us (in a seductive kind of way), Ben and I have been given the gift of VH1 Little Toy Gun Video exposure!!!!! woooo daddy!!

And WE NEED YOUR HELP!! You click HERE and and vote for Little Toy Gun to be in the VH1 Top 20 List!! So help a brotha...and sista out...

Until Next Time,

Booyah,

Sincerely,

BFF,

Yours Truly,

Suzanne Alisa Santosuosso

blog post Cleveland is cold...
Posted in music on Dec 20, 2008 at 8:59 AM
To the friends and potential holiday lovers of honeyhoney,

Ahh yes... winter.. the real kind of "winter"...I'm no longer in the nanny farm bubble of LA wimpering softly about the 52 degree weather with lite showering... Oh no! It's 22 degrees with a slight chance of sleet and possible testicular freezing for the men folk... and I can't lie.. I love it (the coldness not the ice-balls).. It's Christmas time and it's supposed to be snowy and freezing...

This morning I was so excited to go visit my old high school and watch their Christmas orchestra performance and say hey to some old teachers, but due to the "treacherous" road conditions of freezing rain, my walk down memory lane was canceled... friggin boo.

Since I haven't blogged in a while I figured I do a quick recap of the past few weeks.

Ahem...

Ben and I had the pleasure of doing a quick lil 8 day tour through San Francisco, Portland and Seattle... All of which are some pretty sexy
towns. For the most part we did radio performances except for a full set at the Hotel Utah in San Fran... this 100 year old venue had a
pirate shippy kinda feel and made me want to drink whiskey and sing at the bar all night long... (unfortunately I had to behave, because we
had a 7 am flight to Portland the next day). friggin boo again

Portland and Seattle were pretty bad ass... We met with some stellar radio stations and had a little time to hang out. Everyone was so damn
nice!! We went to a restaurant in Portland that had an innovative menu with selections such as ravioli stuffed with cow neck and monkeybrain with a side of poo poo... (just kidding) I tried bison for the first time... (it was a little chewy, but went down easy with my bourbon on the rocks...woo party)

Seattle was friggin cold and rainy, but our bods had the pleasure of being rocked by the English songbird Adele, who was amazing to see live. We both were playing at the same radio station about 2 hours apart and the station let us stay longer to watch her sing. It was one of those moments when I was like "hot damn, this is job has perks."

And now I'm back home in the O.H. with my fam for the holidays... it's such a damn good time every year. I love my family so very much. They are the kindest, most hilarious people I know and I couldn't imagine spending Christmas away from them... (awww sappy Santo)

Anyway... i hope all you freaks out there have a great holiday season...

If you get a chance to check out Alternative Addictions's X-mas cd, "An Alternative Christmas." 100% of the proceeds go to charity and you can
get a lil honeyhoney action with our X-mas single, "The Naughtiness of Me." Download from Alternative Addiction or on iTunes

Now go be merry and don yourself in gay apparel..

Love,

Suzanne
